This is working except for the excerpt looking to be counting chars instead of words even though “excerpt_format=1” is set.

+1 for this functionality.

When I set up a WP install I usually create a backup account. As the plugin currently stands, it appears I can only use Clef for one account per WP installation. Love the plugin, but definitely have a need for this additional functionality, as well as the use case the OP mentioned.

Are you referring to my second post asked if there’s an “all-on” choice for a sidebar instead of having to create numerous conditions?

Also, anyway to have a sidebar display on all content types by default (in essence, replacing the primary sidebar) without having to check all static pages, posts, pages, etc., boxes? Would love to see a one-click covers all type button.

As an aside, it looks like there’s a conflict with CAS (and a number of other similar plugins) and Duplicate Widget.

Below are the settings for my two CAS sidebars. Playing around with things, it seems to be when “exposure” is set to “archive” (and I’m assuming this is also the case with “singular and archive”) it overwrites the front page with whatever is in that archive CAS.

Besides these two, the rest of my site uses the built in primary sidebar.

CAS #1:
Content: Posts (7 specific posts)
Options -> Exposure: Singular
Options -> Handle: Replace + Primary Widget Area
Options -> Merge Position: Top

CAS #2:
Content: Tags (1 specific tag)
Options -> Exposure: Archive
Options -> Handle: Replace + Primary Widget Area
Options -> Merge Position: Top

Jetpack 2.5 seems to have broken this (for me at least).

I have the jptweak function in functions.php, but as of the plugin upgrade only removing or commenting out the add_filter in sharing-service.php removes the default placement.

Any thoughts?

Yup, same happening to my site’s visitors as tinozee. Had to manually delete the install folder and clean up the .htaccess file before site availability was restored.

Both WP and BWPS were up to date.

I have the exact same problem using the most recent version of the plugin (3.3.6) and the only workaround seems to disable the plugin, sign into the dashboard, and then re-enable it. which is not very secure, obviously, and (to some extent) defeates the purpose of the plugin.

Plugin also appears to be interfering with JetPack (for me, at least).
