In reply to: Access to admin panelHi esmi,
Thank you for your answer.
Actually, what I need to do is to redirect the current blog address using a 301 redirect.
What I did was that I moved the code files to another folder in my website. I then emptied the old blog folder and just created a page that would point to the new folder.
However, if I do that the site does not work anymore.
Do you know why?
Thank you.

In reply to: Access to admin panelThanks for all your answers.
In the end I used a plugin called redirect.
However, since the redirect is in place, I cannot login to the admin panel anymore.
Any idea why?
Thank you.

In reply to: New blog installationNo, they all have their own database. What puzzles me is that they are all separate. They are separated websites with separate configuration and separate databases, so they shouldn’t have been affected by a new installation.
Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: New blog installationI deleted the database only for that blog. The others have their own database. One of them is even on a different server.
Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: New blog installationThey are all in different schemas and their config files are part of different websites, so I don’t understand how installing a new one can have taken all the others down.
I have restored the tables I had deleted but that did not resolve the issue.

In reply to: New blog installationHi Christine,
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, restoring the old schema did not work. The new blog works but all the others are still down, as well as the forum.
Any other ideas would really help as these are business blogs and forums so I would need them to be restored as soon as possible.
Thank you.

In reply to: Forum installationHi esmi,
I have checked with my host provider and there was a problem with php. However, when I point my browser to the blog now, I get an opening prompt that says “You have chosen to open which is a: application/php from What should firefox do with this file?” and then I can choose if I want to open or save the file.
Do you have any ideas why this is happening?
Thank you.
Cyrille

In reply to: Forum installationThank you for your answer esmi.
I did take all the steps in the installation guide. However, when I get to the step where I run the install file and point my browser to it, my browser does not run it. It displays a download dialogue box that asks me if I want to download the file or save it. I can’t run the file in my browser, neither on the local computer or on the server.
Would you know why this happens?
Thanks.
