Hi @patrickposner, the update to 3.5.4 went fine.
One note to others doing the upgrade from 3.5.2 to 3.5.4: in my case, the plugin installed but was de-activated, so briefly the website showed markup including the password. Be sure to activate it pronto!
Cheers,
DavidThanks @patrickposner, much appreciated… I’ll be applying the update sometime this week.
Cheers,
DavidI also stumbled onto this issue. The symptoms were simply that the correct password failed to log in. I’m running WordPress 5.6.4. Plugins running are:
Akismet Anti-Spam 4.1.10
Automatic Domain Changer 2.0.2
Classic Editor 1.6.2
Contact Form 7 5.4.2
Flamingo 2.2.2
Passster 3.5.2 (reverted from 3.5.3)
ShareThis Dashboard for Google Analytics 2.5.2Passster options are use cookie = on, and reload after successful validation = on.
Pages are using this markup:
[passster password="something" identifier="membersonly" cookie_expires="0"] [/passster]
Hope this info helps.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Reply-to doesn’t work anymore in GmailFor me, the solution was to use a “From” address on my web site domain that doesn’t have to be real, e.g. if I’m https://www.domain.com I used [email protected] even though that email address is not a real account. This satisfies Contact Form 7, so I can send “To” [email protected] which is a GMail alias, and the Reply To header value of the form sender’s email address then works:
Reply-To: [your-email]

In reply to: [Passster - Password Protect Pages and Content] Install FailureSame error for me too. My solution was:
1) Deactivate all plugins by renaming the plugins folder as described here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/
2) Delete passster plug in
3) Download version 3.1.7
4) Upload and install 3.1.7I updated about 8 plug-ins at once, and I don’t recall which version of passster I was using before upgrading.
ALSO NOTE: Once you deactivate all the plugins, your web site will be live again and the password mark-up will show-up in plain text on your pages, along with all the protected content. So either do this fix quickly or ensure your content is not displayed while you do the fix.
