In reply to: Help – no idea what to doNo, I haven’t tried that. Is it a different installation process to WAMP or AMPPS?

In reply to: Help – no idea what to doAccording to this – https://docs.serverpress.com/article/37-cpanel-import-live-website – it costs $99 to import an existing site.
Do you have any other recommendations for the easiest way to install wordpress locally?
Thanks

In reply to: Help – no idea what to doLooking at this link about ServerPress – https://serverpress.com/get-desktopserver/ – will I be able to import my existing wordpress.com site into this? I’m not sure if import is a premium feature?

In reply to: Is it possible to bulk-create pages and menu entries?Possible to “bulk” or quickly create a menu structure without having to manually add, or click on a +, 3000 times?
What plugin can do this for me?

In reply to: Is it possible to bulk-create pages and menu entries? To be fair, this – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/bulk-page-creator/screenshots/ – probably looks like what I needed.
It looks like I can create empty pages with this, separated by a comma, so that should be fine.
Now I need to figure out the quickest way to create my menu structure without having to manually add 3000 entries.

In reply to: Help – no idea what to doThanks, I’ll look into ServerPress. I’m reasonably computer savvy to be honest, but the WAMP installation was a bit horrible, and it gave me absolutely no clues as to why the myphpadmin page was blank.
Hopefully ServerPress will be a bit more helpful, and if it can detect that a particular port is being used and change it automatically, that’d be even better.
Perhaps you two could assist me further though:
The only reason why I’m thinking about a move away from wordpress.com is because I want to do 2 things:
1. Amend the CSS to do one or two changes.
2. The structure of my site has no blog posts at all, but it has 3000 pages. The reason I went with pages is because the particular theme I have provides a “breadcrumb” navigation menu, and it works 100% better if the end result is a page, not a blog post. Also, the content on each page is static, doesn’t need categories or tags and people will want to find historical pages rather than just the latest content. Creating 3000 pages (and also configuring the Menu) on wordpress.com takes FOREVER, and I’m worried about hitting a limit. I heard there were bulk creation plugins that I could potentially use which is why I wanted to switch to www.ads-software.com.If anyone can offer advice for help using wordpress.com, then perhaps I don’t need to switch?
