Hi @lazylemon,
The easiest way to do it will be with another plugin.
For example, you can download and activate Code Snippets and create a new snippet within it.
Here’s an example for you – https://imgur.com/a/G9zBF7y
Thank you @sasky12 for kind words! We’re glad you like it ??
It depends ?? There are two ways how to do it:
1. You need to create an automation of your choice e.g. for status Order Completed. It won’t work for past orders with this status until you will do one thing. You need to change the status of such an order for any other than completed and then back to order completed. If you do this, ShopMagic should fire your automation, as it will treat it as a new order with such a status.
It’s a workaround solution, but ShopMagic is designed to operate on future orders.
2. ShopMagic PRO, gives you more options. There’s an add-on called Manual Actions. You can use it to precisely select any order and send a message to the customer.
2.
Hi @manjuhari
thank you for your message and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
We have a troubleshooting checklist for such a situation. Check this link https://shopmagic.app/blog/shopmagic-troubleshooting-faq/#faq-5 and follow the steps from 1 to 5. After some tests, let me know what is and what is not working, and we will find a way to solve it.
Thanks in advance!
Quick update for anyone interested. We were able to identify and solve this issue in cooperation with @petrosp6
Fix will be included in the next ShopMagic update (2.20.0).
Hi @petrosp6
Thank you very much for kind words and cooperation while solving your issue!
Hi @petrosp6
thank you for your message. I made some tests with product variations and ShopMagic activated. Everything is working as intended. I can add/delete and modify variations of every product in my test stores.
However, I’d like to solve this issue for you. Most likely, we will need some additional and private information so, could you write directly to us [email protected]
Thanks in advance!
Hi @khoavo
thank you for your ideas. We have a dedicated place where we gather and manage all of the ShopMagic ideas – https://shopmagic.app/ideas/
I created a new entry there and connected it to your email to keep you up-to-date.
Thanks!
Hi @khoavo,
thank you for further testing. Your issue bothers me, especially that I’m not able to recreate it on my end. I created a lot of different automations for abandoned carts with different time (from 5 minutes to 2 hours) and every time it works as intended.
However, I can not leave you with an unsolved problem. Write to us at [email protected] because most likely we will need some private data for further investigation.
Thanks!
Thank you very much for your feedback. I recreated it and in my installation everything works as intended. All of the abandoned cart emails should be stored in your outcomes (with a date when specified automation was triggered). Could you check it for me?
If you want, you can write directly to us [email protected] and we will conduct further troubleshooting.
Once again – thank you ??
Hi @khoavo,
I think that abandoned cart worked as intended in your case. When you visited cart page (from the link), you refreshed its status from abandoned to active.
When you left this page for a second time it changed from active to abandoned after 1 minute and automation was triggered.
The main culprit here is the time. 1 minute is not recommended, because it’s too short time period. We recommend at least 15 minutes as cart timeout.
Your example is trying to hack the system but when I think longer about it, adding a protection against such an infinite cart loop sound like a good idea. I’ll discuss it with our team and let you know.
Regarding clearing logs, that’s a feature which we are gonna to add to ShopMagic. Currently, if you want to clear logs, you have to clear a specified ShopMagic table.
Thank you for valuable feedback ??
Hi @khoavo
Thank you for the kind words ??
Currently, ShopMagic does not have built-in feature to clear Outcomes. You need to do it manually by clearing a specified table:
wp_shopmagic_automation_outcome_logs
We are thinking about adding such an option to ShopMagic, but there’s no ETA for it.
I saw your other question about abandoned carts. I’ll recreate it and answer independently, however I ask for a little patience ??
Have a nice day
Hi @eyupdmg
