The pages I manage where I use the plugin give me the right flag. And the link you posted gives me the right flag. So, it has to be something to do with the IP of your country not being recognized by the jQuery plugin for some reason I don’t understand.
As you know, I only make the jQuery plugin available in WordPress. So, if the jQuery plugin itself does not work. I can’t fix that.
I suggest you open a ticket at the github of the plugin: https://github.com/jackocnr/intl-tel-input Mention what country you are connecting from.

Your description makes me think there is a piece of your CSS that affects the text and flags of the plugin.
