Please try to clear your browser cache and look in the console for errors.
Also, this issue might be occurring due to a plugin conflict. So please back up your site for security purposes and deactivate all plugins and check if it resolves your issue and after that try activating the plugins one by one to find the problematic plugin.

Yes, it is possible to not show the text in mobile view. Please try inserting the following code into Customizer -> Additional CSS:

@media only screen and (max-width:500px){

.page-header .container .hestia-title, .page-header .container .title {
  
   display: none !important;
}
.carousel .page-header .row .big-title-slider-content {
 
   display: none !important;
}

}

Please let us know if it worked well.

.search-results .posted-by.vcard.author {
    display: none !important;
}
