why is it so hard to get help with wordpress.. especially on the wordpress forum

going to look for another CMS to use since it is practically impossible to get help.

this has happened to me too but not when clicking on save and preview.. it happened everytime i tried to save a post either to preview or just publish

I would not get a white screen though, i would get the static.www.ads-software.com page saying there was a database connection problem

I deleted teh entire blog and set it up from scratch again and it works fine.. i am also using 2.0.5

I am having the same problem.. but its not just with one theme. No matter what theme I pick, it eventually reverts back the default.. sometimes within 2 minutes.. sometimes in an hour.

Ive even tried using a theme that I never touched/edited and it still happened?

its driving me insane!

is it possible that if a plugin i am using that requires a “cache” directory somewhere could be causing this? I had to move to a new host and set everything up. I may have forgotten the cache directories. I have added them back into the correct spots and am waiting to see what happens now

It is happening with every single theme i choose, even if it is untouched/unedited.

it is very possible that something is broken in the code..I have done lots of modifications to “theloop.php”

but now I would have no way of knowing what is causing this. My last host actually had o suspend my account because he said somethign in the php was making unlimited calls to the SQL database.

I started fresh with a new copy of the theme which i know works elsewhere, made some changes to it again, and now its reverting back to basic theme.

What If i completely erase the 2 default themes from wordpress directory.. there wont be anything to revert back to.. will that cuase major problems? lol

well.. oddly enough.. they are working now

when it wasnt working, none of my tags, or anything worked. i was ready to explode lol

well that sucks. I’ve sent off an email to support with my host.

I still can’t believe this just happened out of no where. Most of hte time its something I do that messes things up, this time I know I haven’t done a single thing.

Im already looking for new hosting, since I don’t expect this host to be very helpful.

what happens with any trackback links and stuff that I have with other blogs? they will all come back to page not found as well.. this is terrible lol
