In reply to: [GeneratePress] Theme not showing scaled imagesHi Fernando,
Thanks for taking the time to reply!
Well this other site (one of the others I mentioned) opens in a new tab whatever image is scaled: https://thehomesteadinghippy.com/
The two sites use fairly similar caching plugins, shortpixel for images, autooptimize for css and js, w3 total cache for html caching and, of course, cloudflare (the free version)..
I re-tested the homepage with gtmetrix and indeed is loading a smaller version, one that is 1536 pixels wide: https://snipboard.io/jisGE4.jpg
Given that in the media settings I specified 800px for large and I always upload 1600pxin width, do you have any idea what could be causing to generate another image that is 1536 wide? I’m also using WPRM, Lazy Load for Videos but I don’t think these are generating extra image sizes..
Since the content width on desktop is over 1600px wide, I would have expected it to load the 1600px version not the 1536px version..
I think I’d rather upload to 1536px directly to avoid having two copies of every image that are fairly similar in width.

In reply to: [Simple Author Box] CWV image errorIt’s a custom image. I typically upload larger ones as I’m not sure what the right size should be depending on the device and viewport.

In reply to: [Simple Author Box] CWV image errorHi guys,
Thanks for adding the fix. The error is gone but now I’m getting a new one saying the image is not properly sized. The pic is actually bigger than the width and height attributes. is there anyway you can auto-generate images in the right size (100×100) or is this size actually variable depending on the device (laptop, tablet, phone) etc?
Thanks you! ??

In reply to: [Lazy Load for Videos] Plugin working on youtube only on some pagesHey Kevin,
Thanks for getting back to me.
The video does work as expected but the thumbnail isn’t showing. Rather, I see the thumbnail as if the plugin isn’t there: https://snipboard.io/rY4WBO.jpg
Plus, if I go to edit the post, I can actually see the thumbnail fine in Gutenberg: https://snipboard.io/5GOsYi.jpg
Thank you

In reply to: [Astra] astra.woff takes 4 secconds to loadI am weary up updating my other site using this theme because the PSI for the first website on mobile are in the 60s and 70s. Should I wait for another update?

In reply to: [WP Recipe Maker] video in recipeWould this work with AdThrive or Mediavine ads?
The AdThrive embed code looks something like this:
[adthrive-in-post-video-player video-id=”sB4qPKXY” upload-date=”2019-11-02T00:13:49.000Z” name=”video name” description=”bla blabla”]
Mihai,
I am busy working on my stuff at the moment but I replicated the exact same problem on another site of mine but with Sassy social shares. I will have to remove the data-pin-id from that website as well, although I’ve no idea why one of my sites works fine.
Ok,
So I published this article: https://www.survivalsullivan.com/disaster-checklist/
And tested the social pug pin button without putting the data-pin-id and it works! However, that attribute doesn’t seem to affect the behavior on my other site. This is getting very hard to fix, unless I go back and remove the attribute from past articles.
OK, I tried pinning an article that doesn’t have a pin it button + image at the bottom, namely this one: https://www.survivalsullivan.com/best-pocket-holsters/
And it worked. This is getting weirder and weirder.
