Still dont understand what happened and why, but at least my admin area is fully functional again.

I did however manage to get wp-config.php working by copying the contents from wordpad and saving them in notepad, but all the other files are still messed up and i cant convert them all manually, its way too many files

Just wanted to add, i tried this with another fresh wp install on a different PC downstairs and the same thing happened.

Notepad. When i open them with MS Word(pad) they look fine so im guessing windows is imposing some kind of format onto them?

More problems… i downloaded a fresh install but it’s the same thing again. All code is stringed without paragraphs, really weird! What could be changing these files?

Okay but can you then explain why the old site has this issue, yet it’s wordpress admin login works fine? Just so i understand this for any future problems

Thanks esmi i will try that. While browsing in my FTP client, i noticed that all wordpress files except those in the content folder have all the spaces and enters removed (basicly one long string of text). Might that have something to do with my problem? When i open these files with microsoft word the format looks fine and all the code is paragraphed as it should be.

okay but then how do you set it up for a website with different page lenghts? Is there some way to stick that image to the footer ?

This is what happens when i replace the theme’s navigation with my custom menu and use the same styling:

Instead of getting a nice dropdown menu, it creates a menu button for each page. I tried dropping my custom navigation menu into a widget and the same thing happened, all pages are listed without any hierarchy or sub-categories

Nevermind, i figured it out on my own. In case any one is interested:
you can either do this manually by a simple edit in styles.css or the easy way is by installing the plugin exclude-pages”

I forgot to mention, it’s the primary navigation menu on the top so it’s not a custom one

I did not realise that, sorry! It’s a shame though cause ive been browsing many many themes and none look as good as the one that im using now ?? Can you maybe give me some tips how i can design a similar theme myself? Where should i get started?
