I am having image upload issues as well. Other features on the “add new post” page do not work including “add a category.” Should I roll back to 3.1? Is there a fix coming for 3.2? Seems to be a few of us have this problem.

Okay, I got the featured image function working now. I was trying to put in a URL for pictures rather than upload them. URLs cannot be set as featured images, I see now. Is there a way to do this with the promotion slider?
I am wanting to make a powerpoint-like show of slides without having to upload each of the pictures since they will come from a variety of sources and I plan to do a lot of this. If this plugin won’t let me do that, can you recommend one that will let me show pictures from various URLs?

I have tried on other themes and same result.

Someone posted to paste add_theme_support( ‘post-thumbnails’ ); into the functions.php file. Will this fix my problem?

I have been trying to “set featured image” for the promotion slider, but cannot get it to work. I have read through the forum and do not see a button show up that says “use as featured image.” I only see “insert into post.”
I am using Atahualpa theme in WP 3.2. Firefox 4.0. I am wanting to add images via URL, but cannot get them to work from uploads or the gallery either. All I see is the black/gray blank image others have talked about.
