Hello @pronamic_reuel,
This error might be caused by various factors, such as outdated PHP version or an outdated plugin. I recommend you to make sure that you are using the latest version of the Speed optimizer plugin and try changing the PHP version to a more recent one.
In case the issue persists and if you are a SiteGround client, please, make sure to open a new ticket regarding the problem from your Client Area so we can review the matter in detail.

In reply to: [Security Optimizer - The All-In-One Protection Plugin] Clear log files?Hello @gwmbox,
The activity logs are stored in the sgs_log_events and sgs_log_visitors tables. If your site has WP Cron enabled, the logs should be automatically cleared on a chosen period of time.
If you want to remove the logs by yourself, you may drop the tables via a database management tool.
Kind Regards,
Daniela IvanovaHello @simison,
Thank you for your detailed feedback!
The problem has been reported to the plugin developers so they can review it. While we cannot specify if this issue will be addressed or provide an estimated timeline for a potential fix, we suggest you follow the plugin’s changelog for updates.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as the developers work to improve the plugin.

Indeed the described behaviour seems unusual and we do not have similar reports. Thus, I believe it would be best to post a support ticket from your SiteGround Client Ares regarding the problem so we can check it in detail.

Daniela IvanovaHello @dtrim,
I checked your website’s source code and it seems that indeed the
loading="lazy"
attribute is not present on your image tags. If the Lazy Load Media option is enabled in the Speed Optimizer plugin, there might be several reasons why the attribute is missing:- Other plugins might be interfering with the lazy loading functionality. Try deactivating other plugins one by one to see if the issue is resolved.
- Some themes may not be fully compatible with lazy loading plugins. Check if your theme has built-in lazy loading support or if there are any known issues with the lazy loading plugin you are using.
- Ensure that your WordPress, theme, and Speed Optimizer plugin are up to date. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs and improve compatibility.
In case you need further assistance in resolving the issue with the lazy loading of the images on your website, you can always reach our Support team from your SiteGround Client Area and we would review the matter in detail for you.

Usingwp_cache_get
andwp_cache_set
is a standard and efficient way to handle internal caching in WordPress and generally should not cause conflicts with caching plugins like Speed Optimizer. By following the best practices and thoroughly testing your plugin, you can minimize the risk of conflicts with Speed Optimizer or other caching plugins.
Test your plugin with Speed Optimizer to ensure there are no conflicts. If there are such – you can always contact us so we can review the problem.

Daniela IvanovaHello @rosbiffer,
Currently, there is a filter to whitelist files from the Lock and Protect System Folders but there is not an available filter to whitelist a whole folder. As mentioned by my colleague Plamen in the other forum post, you can review the available filters on the URL below:

Daniela IvanovaHello @generosus,
Indeed, the Speed Optimizer plugin is not mandatory for websites hosted on our servers, however, it is specifically developed and optimized to work with our setup. It includes a range of features such as caching, image optimization, and minification of CSS and JavaScript files, all of which contribute to faster load times and improved user experience.
While it is not currently required, using the Speed Optimizer can provide additional performance benefits and we recommend using it on websites hosted on our servers.Best Regards,
Daniela IvanovaHello @generosus,
Thank you for your detailed information. Blocking NitroPack’s IP addresses or User Agent might not be a good idea, because we have many clients using their plugin and it might interfere with its proper work.
I would recommend you to consider blocking their IPs from your SiteGround Client Area > Site Tools > Security > Blocked Traffic until the issue is resolved on their end.

Daniela IvanovaHello @photomaldives,
The error message you’re seeing indicates that there is a JavaScript issue in the
siteground-optimizer-combined-js-1234.js
file, specifically at line 185. The error suggests that the script is attempting to call theslice
method on an undefined variable.
What I can recommend in this case would be to check if the Speed Optimizer plugin is up-to-date and if not – make sure to update it. Also, make sure that there are no other caching plugins enabled that may use the same functions/methods and interfere with the proper work of the Speed Optimizer plugin. If this does not help – it would be best to post a ticket to our support team from your SiteGround Client Area. This way, they would be able to check the issue in detail.

Daniela IvanovaHello @vaibhav3,
Indeed, the described problem sound rather strange and in order to investigate it and provide more information why it occurs, we would need to take a closer look, and if possible – recreate it.
That being said, I believe the best course of action in this case would be to post a ticket to our support team from your SiteGround Client Area.
Best regards,
Daniela IvanovaI am glad to hear that the issue has been resolved.
Generally speaking, none of those rules should affect the WebP conversion, so I believe that you may uncomment both of them. Most likely, the issue was due to something else and it got resolve during the investigation process.
Best Regards,
Daniela IvanovaHello @puddesign,
This prolem may occur due to some security plugin, custom function, or rules in your .htaccess file that might be preventing the WebP optimization from working properly.
The image conversion process depends on the internal cron processes in WordPress. You need to make sure that nothing on the site is blocking them.
If you are a SiteGround customer , you may post a ticket through your Client Area so we can check what may be interfering with the image conversion on your behalf.

Daniela IvanovaHello @sa55i,
Currently, we do not provide an option to clear only the WP REST API cache, however, you can try excluding the exact wp-json/ requests (or any other related URLs) from the Dynamic caching as shown in this article:
https://eu.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/speed-optimizer/supercacher/#Exclude_URLs_from_Caching
In case you experience further issues or need assistance, please, post a ticket through your SiteGround Client Area so we can review the matter in detail.

Daniela IvanovaHello @joydipkar73,
You will have to contact your hosting provider so they can enable the exec() function for you. This is also valid for the open_basedir() directive as well. We are not aware of your server’s setup which is why we are not able to be more specific about how to enable those.
Regarding the other errors – they are again most likely due to web hosting restrictions, however, we are not able to specify exactly, because the error is not very descriptive.
Best Regards,
Daniela Ivanova
