I’m afraid the Default Customer Location is (and was) properly configured as “Geolocate”, which probably means that there is a problem with that configuration. Maybe the user’s browsers are blocking something or maybe the IP geolocation is not working as it should for some regions (I’m from Spain).

I have tested this from Chrome and Safari in IOS and Mac, with three different devices and I have received many complaints from users. That means is not a problem related with a specific device.

After a very painful process of “deactivating-activating” plugins and themes I figured out what was happening, but I still don’t know why is this so badly design and how is possible that nobody has encountered this problem before.

Basically, there were two problems:
1. An error message was being generated, but my theme or Elementor or whatever was hiding it. I use Blocksy as theme, which is pretty popular, so I don’t understand why is this being hidden. In any case, the message was “Region/Province is a mandatory field”. Once I disabled my theme I could see that message and start solving problem number two:

2. When you pay with Applepay, there are no fields to fill. That means the user cannot type anything inside the “Region/Provinnce” field. So, for some reason, Woocommerce makes this field mandatory by design and Applepay is not filling it automatically, so it fails. Woocommerce doesn’t allow to change which fields are mandatory and which ones are optional (I know, how is that possible?), so I needed to install this plugin, that does allow you to change it. I set the “Region/Province” field as optional and it worked.

This is the first time I setup ApplePay, so it has never worked before.
