Yes, this is possible in the premium version by adding e.g. page=”4″ as a parameter to the shortcode.

However, it looks like All-In-One Intranet is indeed not active any more, but the forum software you are using is displaying a message asking users to login. All-In-One Intranet redirects to the main wp-login.php page if it is active.

Without requiring some form of authentication with Google, it is possible to do this: protect your site (e.g. using a privacy/membership plugin) so only logged in WP users can see the site’s pages, and then embed Drive files using Google Drive Embedder within those pages. The Drive files would need to be shared as ‘Anyone with the link can view’ so they can be seen without requiring Google authentication. Only logged-in users will be able to see these WP pages, so only they will see the embeds in the first place. However, it would be possible to obtain the links to share with others, but the links are not immediately visible. It is possible to instruct Drive to prevent downloads of files.

To be clear, the real concern is that Google could change or retire the underlying ‘viewer’ that they make available. We don’t have any control over that possibility.

I don’t plan to actively release a new version of the plugin that will stop working in itself.

I don’t think there was a direct conflict with any particular plugin after all, anyway – this error is likely due to a caching issue where parts of your site just need hard-reloading. Anyway, the support team will help you through it if you get in touch and send them the URL of the page on your site.

To be honest, I think the best way would be to ask your developer to custom code this in to your site somehow, to suit your needs. But you could use the URL Params plugin if you are able to list all the possible PDFs.

For example:

[ifurlparam param=”doc” is=”bob”][pdf-embedder url=”…bob…”][/ifurlparam]
