Your explanation clarifies my misinterpretation that Twenty Fourteen doe not natively support a grid layout. I do not know how to implement with CSS so this is not an option that I would try.

I very much like your recommendation for the Post Tiles plugin and I also looked at WP Post Tiles both of which appear to fill my needs. If you have any comments about use of either of those it would be very much appreciated.

There is one further request on a different subject…I am receiving many email messages from WP advisig of “SNAP Error Logs” where schedule periodic posting has not occurred properly. Do you have a suggestion as to where to obtain advice for correcting this error issue? Is it the Forums?

Thank you very much for your response…I very much appreciate your efforts. Perhaps I must not be describing what I want properly…I am not looking for a “featured blog page” in the grid format. Let me try to describe it again.

I want to layout each “post” that I create in a “grid format”…where each grid partition may contain a graphic entity as well as text. Layout pattern would be three grid partitions across and unlimited partitions down.

I see the Twenty Fourteen layout example and I see six grid partitions on a displayed page. I interpreted this to show how the layout of a post could be formatted in grid format. My choice would be to have an unlimited number of grid partitions on a given post.

At present, my post layout design on https://www.dannorrisblog.com allows about three sub-post topics before exceeding a self-imposed 300-700 word limit. I would like to include many more sub-posts on any given post…with the subpost only providing a title, graphic, link and possibly 7-10 words in a very compact and small grid format. I envision three columns across of grid partitions with an unlimited vertical layout space. Does this provide a more accurate picture? Thank you very much.

Hello Lorro….your reply is right on the mark…my ISP provider diagnosed the problem yesterday of a server locking me out….and finally the domain provider decided to work on the problem today…it was too many logins with my email address and password…finally tonight I have obtained access. I really appreciate your response…both timely and accurate. Best wishes. I am concerned that domain providers tech support people sometimes are very lazy and just want to get rid of you by passing you along.

I am dealing with Ludwig who is developer of Auto Posting Plugin.

Ludwig tells me the Chron Job in my WP is either broken or not set up correctly. Are you the developer of WP Chron job? Ts WP Fastest Cache Plugin the same as WP Chron job?

My questions are to try to answer Ludwig’s statement that my WP Chron job is broken or not set up correctly. Can you help me with that question?

The chron information Ludwig is referring to is e mbedded in other pages of FAQ 2.3…you would need to load the Plugin and look at the FAQ’s…very lengthy…

Here is FAQ 2.3
2.3. Question: I am getting duplicates! What should I do to prevent it?.
Answer: First of all check if your networks (especially Facebook) are not auto-posting to each other. For example you can link your Facebook to your Twitter account, so all Facebook posts automatically go to Twitter. if you do not remove this, you will get one post on Twitter from SNAP and another one from Facebook.

Ludwig…I have not received your reply to my email to you dated Oct 19 and attached. This email states that only comments are being searched for by your software and that no posts are being sent by your software to Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter. I cannot find any posts being sent from your software to my social media sites.

I am interesting in purchasing the PRO version however must experience proof that the Free Version can perform as advertised.

Are you interesting in selling a copy of your software? Please respond.

When I send something, I mean it. FAQ 2.3 does in fact direclty applied to your situation.

The fact that you are having duplicates as well as the fact that you don’t get scheduled posts published tells me that WP Cron is broken on your site and you need to follow the link from FAQ 2.3 and setup it correctly.

Cron is a daemon process that runs continuously, waiting for specific times to trigger the scheduled events to occur. Windows also has a similar scheduler service.
However WP Cron is not a real “Cron Job”. Unlike regular Cron Jobs, which run at certain times or dates based on crontab (cron table) configuration file, the WP-Cron service runs every time visitor comes to the WordPress based website. This helps WordPress based websites to run properly on different kinds of server environments because it eliminates a lot of server-specific requirements. WordPress checks if there is a need for WP-Cron to run on every page load. If there is such need, then it tries to make an ajax request to the wp-cron.php file.
Issues with WP-Cron
This way of things has two potential problems.
1. WP-Cron can fail to complete all or some its jobs or it might not work at all on some environments that restrict background jobs or have short execution timeouts.
2. WP-Cron can run the same tasks several times. This is especially the case for high traffic websites or websites with specific configurations. This is what could produce duplicate posts made by SNAP.

Solution

I am attempting to validate the “WP-Chron job” in order to activate the Plugin Nextscript Social Networks Autoposter.

The vendor tells me that I do not have the Chron job set up properly.

I now have the setup asking for the WP-Chron job and I need to verify that it is working. No auto posts are occcurring as requeested to the plug-in.

I just looked at 20 widgets that supposedly allow insertion of text. Do you have a recommendation of a widget to insert text within a post?
