OK. So I’ve deactivated and deleted the plugin and flushed all the caches. And then when I click the W3 Cache Button that says “empty the page cache” I get a blank white screen with the following errors:

Warning: include(/home/mybori5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/autoptimize/classlesses/autoptimizePartners.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mybori5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/autoptimize/autoptimize.php on line 27

How am I getting autoptimize errors when the plugin’s cache was flushed, my site’s cache was flushed, the opcache was flushed and AO was completely deactivated and deleted off of my website?

Just realized I cannot deactivate the plugin now either. That also borks the site. So I can’t update. And I can’t deactivate. Totally stuck.

Just updated https://myboringchannel.net — same thing happened. I was able to roll back to the previous version so no biggie . . . but something is definitely wrong with my websites’ setups and the AO plugin. And it’s a pretty big problem.

Inmotion replaced all the WP core files and the site is working again. I’m a little afraid to continue using AO after this as I’m wondering if there is some sort of conflict with another plugin . . .

Also, my other sites are using AO. I haven’t updated them yet and I’m worried because they’re all using the same server configuration . . . best to disable and delete on my other sites? I don’t want to go through this again.

    Thanks for your help.

This is all really frustrating. The site broke on update of the AO plugin. All the error messages are related to the AO plugin. However, you say it’s not AO and Inmotion says it is AO and I’m left with a dead site.

All your suggestions have been taken. opcache flushed. Folder renamed. Etc. Nothing works.

So am I going to have to hire a developer to fix what AO has broken? I’m really frustrated with this. Currently Inmotion is working on replacing all the core WP files. Hopefully that doesn’t bork my custom CSS work, which has taken me many, many, many hours. As you can tell, I’m pretty frustrated.

And my site is still dead.

I talked to Inmotion again and they:

    1) removed all the cache from AO and my caching plugin
    2) renamed autoptimize folder itself
    3) replaced the htaccess file with default WP htaccess
    4) tried renaming the entire plugin directory

    Site is still completely dead.

Well, the autoptimize plugin folder was renamed . . . not to autostoptimize . . . I think I just added a “1” to the end of the folder name. Does it have to be exactly “autostoptimize”

That has already been done and the site is still dead. I deactivated ALL the plugins this morning using that method and the site is still dead. I then contacted Inmotion and they did the same and then they told me to contact the plugin owner. They said there are files being called that don’t exist and they can’t resolve the issue. So here I am.

Hi Frank, it doesn’t help as I can’t even access my site or my site dashboard. Support team at Inmotion deactivated all the plugins and the site was still dead. Help?
