In reply to: Why does WordPress add my url to my anchor text…Hi Jan,
thanks for taking the time to explore this issue with me.
“It really depends on how you add that. Can you provide a specific example i.e. a link? If it’s an actual link to your site then of course it will be your URL. If you add the links by hand then it will be whatever link you manually put in.”
I am not sure that I have made my issue clear – judging by the quote above.
You can see this actual situation on my page here: Management of Hypertension,
You will find this particular ad inside the article itself. It is the graphics ad just after the subheading, ‘Risk’. See the anchor text Loyola Online Courses today! The graphics also has the same link embedded inside the picture…hover till pointer converts to hand icon.
Again, I need to remove my url from the actual code string as seen in the page source. And, I cannot find that particular url inside my html editor when trying to edit it via WP-admin’s article editor. However, the url is there in the page source.
Hope that makes more definitive.
Thanks,

In reply to: Why does WordPress add my url to my anchor text…Update on this topic:
Simply stated, WordPress seems to automatically add my url to an anchor text I create when in fact I never included my url in the code string for the anchor text.
I have a merchant who wants to pay for ad space on my page, Management of Hypertension
but they don’t want my url displayed in the page source as part of the anchor text code string. It seems, WordPress automatically addends my url to the anchor text as part of the code.
Has anyone ever encountered this issue?
Thanks,

Sorry for that…
Wanted originally to clarify this topic but found that I could not edit it, therefore I created another topic for it. What if I just marked it resolved and created a revised more accurate version of it?
As it is now, the issue is not properly defined.
Thx,
-DanHi, thank you for responding to my issue. What I finally decided to do was to uninstall WordPress SEO by Yoast…it became too much of a problem for me. After uninstalling it, my website is just fine and I am using, Google Sitemaps now.
Thanks again,

In reply to: 404 Errors after permalink change…I did add the Yoast WordPress SEO and then made settings as per a published guide online…but later changed the permalink setting per another SEO consultant, Craig Mako.

In reply to: 404 Errors after permalink change…It shouldn’t have anything to do with my theme as it is the same theme I began with and never had this problem to start.

it’s possible it could take a day or two for it to update on the google side of things, they could have it cached from earlier todayOkay…

In reply to: 404 Errors after permalink change…Apparently, the picture has nothing to do with this error so, I re-did everything according to how I originally had it with regards to the pic and SEO.

In reply to: 404 Errors after permalink change…Going to re-insert the last “/” and leave it in the settings for custom permalink settings.

In reply to: 404 Errors after permalink change…Okay, now I am going to read the links you sent to me. BTW, I tried getting rid of the last forward slash “/” for the permalink setting, then saved and updated changes along with deleting the cache. Then I did another google search for the article and got same results.

In reply to: 404 Errors after permalink change…I only have two articles on this site and both articles have this issue. However, when going to the category [Internet Security] in my menu, then clicking on the title link, it shows fine with no errors. This is true for both articles listed when going to either article in this manner. ????

In reply to: 404 Errors after permalink change…I do still get the same error after deleting the pic and updating the page for changes to take effect. I also deleted the cache after making and saving changes.
The error shows up after doing a google search in quotes on the article title: “Internet Security with Microsoft Security Essentials”.
Am using WordPress SEO Yoast and set the permalinks to “Custom Structure” with https://aboutinternetetc.com /%postname%/ specified for setting.
