In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] Stopped working with WordPress 4.6yes, as far as I can tell you have to the the ‘feedurl=’ argument to the shortcode, as above, to select the past dates. As you note, only one URL can be entered on the settings page and that affects any time you use just the shortcode. But adding the feedurl= seems to work to override that.

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] Stopped working with WordPress 4.6The actual feed URL that works for me for past shows is:
[artistdatapress feedurl=https://feeds.artistdata.com/xml.shows/artist/AR-7B3B206AEDA675D6/xml/past ]
This is the first one listed on the “Data Feeds” page

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] Stopped working with WordPress 4.6I just tried the experiment of
[artistdatapress feelurl=<‘XML Feed URL for Past Shows’ from dashboard>]
and it does seem to work.
I prefer the iframe code for the main shows listing because it shows information, like the ‘Also playing’, that the shortcode doesn’t.

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] Stopped working with WordPress 4.6I don’t use the plugin shortcode for past dates, I currently use the iframe code supplied by ArtistData for both past and future listings, except for using the widget in the sidebar.
IIRC, I went that route because I had trouble with the shortcode for one or the other of future/past dates.
The different feed URLs are at [your artistdata Dashboard] -> Tools -> Data Feeds

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] Stopped working with WordPress 4.6Update: I switched to a different format feed and it is now working
https://feeds.artistdata.com/xml.shows/artist/AR-7B3B206AEDA675D6/xml/futureInterestingly, I’m pretty sure that I switched away from the https:///feeds.. one to the one above at some point because the former was not working. Anyway, now it does.
Jeremy, thank you for your responses. The one part I don’t understand is that the behavior we are complaining about with respect to the URL is a change. When I first started using the Jetpack Publicize it correctly (IMO) used the URL from my site when it created the link. Was the change in behavior the result of a change on Facebook’s part? If not, then it clearly is possible to get the name of the site into the post from a common app.
I don’t really care whether the app name is “WordPress” or “Jetpack” or something unique, but the the link going to the wrong place seems like a pretty serious deficiency. It’s obviously preventing a lot of people from using that feature. Currently I enable Publicize for Twitter and G+, which do more or less the right thing, and publish links on FB by hand.
I don’t think changing the name of the app will help. The most confusing thing about the new format is that it says
“Dan Tappan published an article on WordPress.com.”
and then labels the link as being from “WordPress.com” when the real host name was “dantappanphotos.com”, which is not even hosted on wordpress.comSaying something like “Dan Tappan published an article on Jetpack” and then labeling the link “Jetpack” would be, if anything, more confusing.
It would be nice if you had an option to go back to just using what was entered in “Custom Text” as the link caption but I can edit that after the fact.
I guess I’ll have to test some other plugins to see if any provide the format that Jetpack used to – that was pretty much ideal from my point of view.

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] ArtistDataPress stopped working with 3.7Update on this:
I switched the “Feed URL” in the widget settings from the
“XML Feed URL for Future Shows”
https://feeds.artistdata.com/xml.shows/artist/AR-7B3B206AEDA675D6/xml/future
(which had worked in under the previous version of WordPress)
to the “Direct Link”
https://artistdata.sonicbids.com//dan-tappan/shows/xml/futureand it started working again.
