That still has not fixed the issue, which really makes me think that I have something else messed up. I think I need to go through and do a fresh install with the multisite from the beginning instead of trying to convert, because I am apparently missing something.

I am going to mark this as resolved, and when I have time to go through and do a fresh install I will come back an update this post if necessary.

which wp-config file? the parent site, or the child?

So there is no way to share an album between the two sites? I really want to have this album present on both sites and do not want to have to create 2 separate but identical directories.

would somebody mind helping out a noob like me with this? I would love to be able to put this plugin on a sidebar, or even a header, but do not have the necessary knowledge to figure it out on my own. Could somebody please help me out by posting how they got it to work.
