  • I have to “second” what serenityphoto requested. The “Visit your Site” button is definitely no longer there and should be put back. Now having read what Ipstenu said, I think I’ve got another problem myself because I don’t see a linked name of my blog anywhere in the upper left of the Dashboard ??

Actually, I’ve just resolved it as you simply now need to just go to Settings and add the name of your Blog and then it appears. The “Visit your Site” link is actually still there, it’s just a single blank space that is now the link. I think in an upgrade they could just as easily replace the single blank link with the “Visit your Site” verbiage as before. In any event . . . all is good again ??

    YOU DA MAN!

I deactivated my plugins and discovered that it was a Gallery Plugin that was the problem. They apparently have released a new version of that plugin and I tried it again and now everything is working fine!

Thanks so much for the great advice!

Well I manually uploaded all the 2.7 files and sadly the same issues prevail. I would like to still continue to thank Otto42 for at least responding and offering help. I see a growing number of issues somewhat similar to mine and some different. Hopefully, the developers are monitoring the forums and while they are not directly responding (must be busy and I understand that) they will quickly correct these issues in the next upgrade 2.7.1.

If I do find a resolution I’ll post back to let others know.

WoW! Somebody to the rescue. Thanks so much for the reply. I was just now reading the same thing regarding the importance of doing the upgrade manually instead of via the auto upgrade feature. I’m going to give that a try now. Thanks so much and I’ll report back what happens!

My 2.7 Coltrane was working fine until just now when I noticed in the Dashboard I can no longer switch a post from Public to Private. I’m using FireFox latest version. Will try to dump cache and see what that does.

Well as usual I figured it out on my own.

Well I’ve read the entire thread here and I must say that I am very impressed with ronafly (the developer). You must have the patience of a saint. Unfortunately, I have to add my name to the growing list of folks who are having trouble. Word 2.6.3 seems to have caused your program to stay locked in a “loading” mode when attempting to edit a comment. I don’t want to pile on as you’ve clearly got a grasp of the problem with so many others having the same problem. If there is something I can send you that would help you then please let me know. It’s not critical that I have this feature and I’m sure you will get it resolved at some point. You might even want to wait until 2.7 releases which should be very soon. Again, thanks for your efforts and don’t get discouraged. ??

Well a bit more research sadly reveals that the developer of this theme seems to have dropped off the radar screen in terms of any support. His website is gone and there is zero server information for him either. No e-mail contact and he has not posted a thing here or anywhere in terms of support in three months.

Sooooo . . . I guess that means this is pretty much a dead theme which is too bad because the rotating image header was a kewl feature! I think Word Press would be prudent in removing his two themes from their database since clearly he is no longer active in blog design for us, nor is he in the least interested in providing support for the work he has done.
