In reply to: [Podtrac & Seriously Simple Podcasting] Error on podcast pageWow jake. I don’t think I updated it but I will go now I’m pretty excited about getting this working.
After I get this working well I need to re-register my feeds in iTunes and Stitcher? Actually I don’t think there is a way to update it and iTunes you have to put some sort of forward in which from what I understand what create a perpetual loop if I do it with this Do you have any advice on that?

In reply to: [Podtrac & Seriously Simple Podcasting] Error on podcast pageJake. I was told that when you created this you were using series podcasting Method. I’m wondering if you can show me how to do that because I cannot see a place to change each feed in the series over to the new feed

In reply to: [Podtrac & Seriously Simple Podcasting] Series PodcastingJake,
I should probably state that im using Series podcasting.. meaning we have about 20 shows on our station. each show has its own feed. it looks like there is only 1 spot to put in the podtrac feed which is the main feed (which im not using) so the more i think on this.. perhaps this wont work for the way im using the plugin?

In reply to: [Podtrac & Seriously Simple Podcasting] Series PodcastingJake,
This is SOOOO GREAT.. im new to all of this coding so i could easily screw this up.. but i think i might be able to do this lol
Quick question. will we have to change our feed on itunes and stitcher to the podtrac feed in order for us to see the numbers? there seems to be a bit of confusion on how we will get numbers after its all set up.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Download StatsThanks Daniel,
Do you have any idea how we can make this work if we use Series podcasts? Because we have a different feed for each series.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Download Statsok thanks Hugh for the honest answer.. I tried that plugin and it filled my page with errors on all of my podcasts. I also checked out podtrac and it looks like we would need to re submit our feeds with a feed from them anyway to get stats which would mean we would lose all of our followers. We might be best served with waiting. If that plugin owner see’s this tho and wishes to offer any sort of support ID BE GLAD to take any.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Download StatsThank you again Hugh,
Im running into issues with the plugin as its creating errors on my podcast pages.. Im not asking you to support this however i do have another question.
I KNOW that you cannot give us any timeline But you say your half done.. Im not a programmer so i dont personally know what that means. If half done means you might be weeks or a couple months away from having stats it might be worth it to just wait. If it means perhaps a year or more then that might change things for me just a bit. Im just not sure what that means for you or maybe you dont either.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Download StatsThank u so much Hugh for this suggestion I will definitely install this and see if it works I know that you can’t support the plug-in but I’m just asking because I use your multiple feed option in order to run my site Do you have any idea if this plug-in might work if we are using category style podcasting? Each host puts a check mark in their show name and there are feeds for each show

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Download StatsI hate to sound like a broken record but has ANYONE found a way to get any stats yet for your site while Hugh is getting this updated? Im running a site that has multiple shows and feeds and my hosts are becoming restless. Id like to quell them down a bit while we wait for this feature because i really like this plugin and how much easier it is than some of the others but we moved from a drupal site that had stats built in so for years they have seen stats. Does anyone know if reports can be run on a directory etc to even give an idea of stats? ANYTHING at this point will be helpful. Thanks all

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] How to embed podcast on second siteThanks so much Hugh. But I beg you in the name of everything that is holy!! Please give us stats first Stats are way more important than embed codes

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] How to embed podcast on second siteHey.. Id love this feature too but i found a work around for now. I have all of my podcasts on Stitcher. The Stitcher Portal will allow you an embed player that you can post anywhere and it plays your episodes. you can also make it to only play the latest one if you want. Thats how i work around it for now

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Best way to track itunes downloads? This is not a support request so I did not want to open a new ticket im just wondering to other users if you have come up with anything in the mean time? Prior to using this we were using a drupal platform so it just showed how many hits the mp3 had or pulls. Anyone know of a place that we can put a url and it tells us how many times that mp3 file got downloaded or pulled? or a plugin or a way to go into the general stats? just wondering as I did not realize how much i needed download numbers until i moved from my old platform and dont have them.. .im just wondering if anyone has figured out a temp work around for this until the plugin supports stats?

In reply to: [Add From Server] Hiding file already added in mediaLibraryI found a way to resolve it for me.
When you upload files to folders that are NOT in the uploads folder then the file is actually copied into the media library. Which means you can just delete them from the folder you uploaded it into and then you have totally cleaned out the folder. I use a program called Advance Task Scheduler to do this for me automatically once a week.At first i had it uploaded into a folder that I made which was still in the uploads folder. This is why it was a problem. If the folder is anyplace else then it literally copies the file. so no need to keep it in the folder you uploaded into after import.
WORKS FOR ME LIKE A CHARM
