    Thanks Angelo,

You have gone far above the call of duty to help me understand all of this and I must say thank you VERY much!

Thank you so much for all of your help. One last question Angelo,

I just stumbled on your advertising program this morning but i cant really see any full info on it. Since i dont have ANY of this set up yet i have not started an account yet. Is there any way i can see details on how it works? For instance is it like Google in that there are always ads to be played we just have to chose what plays? And do we have to program it to play before or during the episode or will there be a way for it to automatically play as long as someone is using the player on the site?

ive used MultiSite before. its just over kill for what i need. right now we dont have ANY of these types of totals that your speaking of. We are currently running off a drupal site and the only stats that we get are the downloads for each episode and that is working out just great for us. Thats really all that we need.

Im not trying to stop hosts from seeing each others downloads. that part just does not matter to me. With multi site i would have to set up a new site everytime we add a new show to our network. Thats just overkill for what we are trying to accomplish.

the plan was to use category podcasting. Currently nothing is set up yet. I was asking these questions to make sure that Blubrry was going to work with our needs but you are correct .. “Category Podcasting ” is what i planned to do. You were offering me a warning against that but perhaps i missed it. Did you state a reason why i shouldnt? im very open. The only thing im not open to is the multi site. If i had other goals that might be thought about but ive been down that road and its really just overkill for my needs.

With that being said is there a different reason i should not use category podcasting?

Also Angelo, From looking back at the basic stats page it looks like i can see stats for an individual episode. so now i have 2 other questions for you.

    1. Are there ways to run reports with the paid version that i can download and send out to show hosts weekly or monthly?

    2. Would it be a violation of terms to have both a paid and a free account. The thinking would be one login would be for hosts to log in and see how their shows are doing and the other account i would use for the advertising program that it seems that you have. I would not want everyone to be able to see those stats so id keep that login private

Angelo, This is all new to me so if there was any misunderstanding I take it as being from my side. Thank you so much.

For clarity im not trying to have a situation where only certain people can see certain archives. In our current setup everyone can see everyone elses stats so that part is already in place. We have several shows on our one station and each show has its own feed. The way we have it set up now the hosts can look at any of their individual episodes and they can see how many downloads came from that specific episode or mp3 file. The multi site does not work for us but its not needed because I dont mind everyone seeing each others stats. Here are the specific answers to your questions.

    1. There are about 20 different shows on our station.

    2. They are not similar at all. Each show has its own theme

I AM VERY kool with having a total stat that would show how much all of our podcasts have made but if i look at my show in particular If I want to see what last Thursday’s show did in downloads I would like the ability to see that.

ill be happy to clarify anything else as well and thank you so much in advance.

Thanks Angelo, If what you are saying is correct thats just the exact opposite of what Blubrry told me in the ticket i opened but perhaps they misunderstood me. They told me that the only stats i would get would be how many downloads came from the total of my website and that there would be no way to see how any one particular episode did.

    Shawn,
No i only need for it to be internal. I opened a ticket with Blubrry and they told me that the stats will only show the last few downloads from the whole website. But say for instance I have a podcast from March of last year. i would like to be able to look and see how many downloads that specific podcast had in the past year. Thats what i mean.

Thanks everyone. The more i hear the more Im thinking that this simply wont work for me. i dont need really much detail other than how many downloads of a specific episode . I dont currently have a blubrry account but even if i did it doesnt appear that i can get how many people have downloaded a specific episode. Does anyone know of any podcasting plugins that will have the podcast and number of downloads underneath each one?

    Thread Starter darryl505

    (@darryl505)

or if not does anyone know how to get the number of downloads per episode?

    Thread Starter darryl505

    (@darryl505)

    Thanks Shawn,

but so that im clear you are saying that I can see the total number of downloads on a particular podcast inside of WP? But i will have to have an account with Blubrry to authenticate? But i wont have to keep going back and forth just to see basic stats? Do i have that right?

If so (im very new at this) is there a way for me to know how to authenticate this after making my account?

I am changing them in the plugin admin I did not know that i could go into the post itself to change it.

As far as does it come up with the correct post type. thats kind of my question. I have no idea what the different post types should look like. I have been changing the post type and going back to my post just to see differences .. Ive been doing this so i can determine what post type i prefer but since I have never seen any other display I dont know what to look for. This is why im asking if there are screen shots of different post types.

But to answer your question I change the post type in the plugin admin then i go back to my pages and I see no difference.

    Thanks Allen

I’m probably get a poor job asking the question so let me try again. I was not trying to blame the plug-in for any problems that I’m having I don’t even know that I’m having a problem

What I’m saying is when I change the post type I don’t notice any change at all so my question was I noticed the change on the posts that are already there was a change happen after the next post goes in.

And my second question is are there any screenshots that show what the various post look like. So that I can just pick which one I think looks best from the screenshots of what they look like when they are working?

Im not using the general feed for the website

I created a feed in multi importer using this feed
    https://alldigitalradionetwork.com/category/201-the-blaze/feed

I made that its own category and i put the code in this page
    https://alldigitalradionetwork.com/our-stations/music-stations/adr-201-the-blaze-hip-hop-and-rb/

It is pulling the feed from there .. but it is only showing 2 posts and there are 3 or 4 listed and the 2 posts that its showing are not right under each other.. they are like paragraphed on top of each other.

so the problem here is that its only pulling the 2 posts and they are not even positioned right

    Allen,

Thank you for again helping me and I probably did a terrible job explaining my problem.

    On this page https://alldigitalradionetwork.com/our-stations/music-stations/adr-201-the-blaze-hip-hop-and-rb/

I am trying to submit the feed for this category https://alldigitalradionetwork.com/category/201-the-blaze/

On the main page I am trying to submit a different category. the main alldigitalradionetwork.com/feed is not at all what i was trying to do.

If you want I can easily set up a user name for u like I did last time just shoot me an email [email protected]

Im not asking you to get that involved if you dont want to im just letting you know that im open to that if you have the time to look at my setup

    Darryl
