Hi @kkarl,
Thanks for reaching out! You can use a free Gmail email address to configure the Google Workspace / Gmail mailer on your site.
It’s possible that your email address is not a Gmail account. You might have a Google Account that is not a Gmail account (for example, if you use the account for YouTube but have never enabled Gmail).
Also, you can try disconnecting the account from WP Mail SMTP by clicking the “Remove Connection” button and then reconnecting it.
If you have a different Google account, try re-configuring it using that email address.
I hope this helps. Thanks!
Hi @rpoulin80,
Thanks for reaching out & I apologize for the confusion! It appears that you’re currently using the SMTP.com mailer option under your WP Mail SMTP -> Settings page, but you have not configured that mailer by entering the required API key.
Please note that SMTP.com and WP Mail SMTP are two different entities. You can use the free version of the WP Mail SMTP plugin with mailers such as SendLayer, SMTP.com, Brevo, Other SMTP, etc. The WP Mail SMTP plugin acts as a bridge to connect your preferred email provider or email account.
If you want to configure the WP Mail SMTP plugin using the SMTP.com mailer, please refer to this guide. Alternatively, you can configure a different mailer on your site. You can view all the available mailers here.
I hope this helps. Thanks!
Hi @rsgoin,
Thanks for reaching out! Could you please try sending a test email to the email address displayed on this tool and check their report?
If you have configured the plugin using the Google Workspace email account, please get in touch with Google Workspace support with that email delivery report and they should be able to assist you further.
If you’re using a free Gmail account, please try configuring the plugin again using a different email address, or configure the plugin using a different mailer to see if that resolves your issue.
I hope this helps. Thanks!
Hi @sledgejen & @fourandhalfgarrett,
Thanks for reaching out! First of all, please make sure that you’re using the latest version of the WP Mail SMTP plugin on your site.
Check the DNS records from your Brevo account under Senders, Domains & Dedicated IPs > Domains. For the specific domain you are sending from, it should appear as shown here. If the records are not verified, please add the required DNS records to your domain’s DNS provider control panel.
Once added, verify the record within Brevo by clicking on “Authenticate this email domain,” as shown here.
After that, make sure to update your “From Email Address” under WP Mail SMTP -> Settings with your Brevo verified domain name.
Once you complete those steps, try sending a test email.
I hope this helps. Thanks!
Hi @ashloni,
Thanks for getting in touch! If the Brevo email logs are empty, this indicates that your emails are not being routed through the configured Brevo mailer on your WP Mail SMTP plugin.
Please check if there is another SMTP plugin installed on your site. You can try deactivating all third-party plugins to isolate the issue and determine if another plugin is interfering with the Brevo mailer.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi @webreneszansz,
Thanks for getting in touch! Please check whether you can locate any failed events under the debug events section.
Also, please check WooCommerce -> Settings -> Emails section and confirm whether you have correctly configured email notifications.
I hope this helps. Thanks!
