I understand your concerns about Dashify’s long term outlook as well as respecting your clients’ timelines, so I appreciate you checking in. I want to assure you that we have taken all the feedback to heart and are firm in our vision about what we can bring to WooCommerce.

    While our work on Dashify has been irregular, we attribute this to not having transitioned to working on Dashify full-time—something we hope is one day possible. Especially after hearing that it’s your favorite, I’ll find time to make the releases more frequent.

    I keep the Releases and Roadmap pages on our website up to date to show what’s recently been released and what’s coming up, if you’re ever curious.

    To help with your client project timing, it’s likely a few months until the dashboard theme becomes more complete, but of course Dashify will always be available for future clients.

    Certainly, let’s try to figure out what the problem is. I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue, however. Currently, this is what I see while editing the billing details of an order:

    and while editing the billing details of a subscription, I see:

    so I see the Transaction ID for an order, and the Stripe Customer ID along with Stripe Source ID for a subscription.

    Could you confirm that only the Stripe Customer ID shows while editing a subscription’s billing details? Also, to help further isolate the problem:

    • Which view is it on, order or subscription—or both?
    • Is it only on SEPA payments, or other types have the same issue?

    Just wanted to let you know that as of Dashify 1.3.4, it’s compatible with Admin Menu Editor! If there is any special configuration you have in Admin Menu Editor that doesn’t work, feel free to send a message.

    Great, thanks for the details!

    Here are some quick updates, some of which are now on the Dashify roadmap:

    • Other people have mentioned Admin Menu Editor, so that’s now something we’re about to work on. It will probably function like this: if Admin Menu Editor is enabled, we’ll use the ordering and items from there, since it is likely the user wants to keep their custom menu.
    • Got it. A restyling of the existing product editor is something we can do then, as a uniform style would be a better experience, even if WooCommerce does have its new editor in beta.

    I have a further question about a dashboard with those numbers. Currently, much of that and more is available through the WooCommerce home page and WooCommerce analytics pages. One thing, however, that I don’t see is subscriptions analytics, which I think would be valuable for us to add.

    My question is, since much of the data is already there (on analytics home you can get numbers, graphs, and top customers/products), what aspect of a custom overview dashboard would be most valuable to you? Would it be the uniform appearance/redesign around it, or something else?

    Good news! We’ve completed the changes. Now the code uses the slug in all places instead of the title, so it should work for any language.

    The fix has been released in Dashify 1.3.1 today. Can you check and see if the language you were using is good now?

    Also, while testing Dashify in a non-English admin language, I noticed there some strings which don’t get translated. We’ll get this fixed in an upcoming version of Dashify so that any WooCommerce strings are localized, and so that anyone can contribute translations to Dashify through Translating WordPress.

    We will investigate right away to see if there is anything obvious going on.

    In the meantime, could you provide a list of plugins you have active on the site? That would help us because if we discover it is not an issue internal to Dashify, it is likely a plugin that interacts with our menu which is somehow causing the slowness.

    Also, thank you for the kind words. We aim to eventually make Dashify as complete as Ener.gy but also keep it affordable.

    Thank you for this suggestion. Good idea to use the slug instead of the title, as the title can vary with language. We will make this change in the next update of Dashify, and we will test it with different languages to ensure it’s working well.

    Hey! Happy to see you again and always happy to hear good feedback. We have many improvements planned so it will only get better.

    To answer your questions:

    • Currently, the positions are fixed when Dashify’s admin menu is enabled. I tried changing them with Admin Menu Editor, but they did not move. However, because Dashify’s admin menu uses the same core WordPress functionality to create the menu, making it compatible should be doable. We’ll look into this soon.
    • Correct—the restyled product list will be released within a week. We’re holding off on the product edit page at the moment because WooCommerce is in the process of redesigning it too. We want to see what feedback users have about the new default product editor so we can improve it. At the same time, having a consistent look is important so that when anyone uses Dashify in the future, the design will look familiar across the whole admin. So it’s likely we will redesign it, but other things will come first.
    • Yes, if you’re talking about a kind of “summary home page” with key numbers, graphs, and quick information. I am curious, what information would be most helpful for you?
