@amityweb, I agree with you. But for me as an end user, it doesn’t matter who solves my problem. In my case it was theme changes. This is such a complex issue and many factors play together. There are dozens of practical solutions. Also, it is bad style of CF7 to release such massive changes without prior extensive testing with the most widely used themes. I had already started a thread days ago asking for comments from the developers. Only standard answers, nothing else.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Version 5.4 – known problems – please post current statusI′ve updated Enfold Theme to V4.8 last night and all my problems seems to be gone. I′m using reCaptcha V3, Borlabs Cache and some LayerSlider in addition.
If you have to disable complete plugins or some features in Caching plugins to make CF7 or your website running correctly, it′s no solution, but only a workaround!
For me, it′s fine at the moment. But I am not happy with the kind of communication here from official site. In another threat a developer of a special theme reported the same isuues with CF7. And he has round about 25.000 users running his theme. And he is recommending Contact Form 7 to all. Guys, these are real problems and not like my 5 websites.
Good luck to all in finding individual solutions to their problems.
If I find out anything else I will post it.If you look here in the forum at the threats of the last days, then many problems of the most different kind come up since the CF7 update to V5.4. The communication here in the forum to this topic is very bad.
I found out that my problems were completely gone when I switch to a default WP theme (twenty twenty-one). I got in contact with the developers of my theme (Enfold by Kriesi). A few hours ago they published a theme update that solved my problems. I’m still waiting for feedback on what exactly the problem was. Maybe this info can help you. thank you for your solution. But for me it didn′t worked. I tried to disable reCaptcha a few days before and right now a second time. If I switch to the twenty twent-one default theme with active reCaptcha, CF7 is working fine. With all other “advanced” themes I see the same misbehavior as described (independent from reCaptcha).

If you make such massive changes to your own plugin and you know that hundreds of professional themes break with millions of users, then I would not publish so recklessly. You don’t have 100 users but over 5 million!!!
Think about it. And as a side effect, you drastically reduce your support volume. Also an earlier and more open communication with your users would help everyone.Thanks and all the best

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Version 5.4 – known problems – please post current statuson another site (under construction), I changed to a default theme (twenty twenty-one). Only CF7 plugin version 5.4 is active. Here the form works as expected (but not in the Enfold Theme).
But because so many other users with different themes have the same problem, it could still be that in an advanced WP environment CF7 does not work correctly anymore (no idea why or what it could be).
I will now continue to monitor this issue in this forum. If I find a solution elsewhere, I will -of course- post it here.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Version 5.4 – known problems – please post current statusit’s the same behavior that dozens of other users are reporting right now. I noticed 3 days ago that all my forms stopped working on 5 different websites. During the submit process the form hangs. I see a spinning icon regardless of whether everything is filled out correctly or mandatory fields are missing. Nothing else happens.
On one site it works with logged in users. On the others I tried, it makes no difference. The page where it works with logged in users is running Cloudflare as a caching and CDN service.
All pages and forms indicate authentication issues with it (console in browser).
In my post, I thought you were already aware of the problem and it is being worked on. I just want a status. Is the problem with CF7 or WP? Or something else?
