In reply to: [WPBook] [Plugin: WPBook] Remove other Post Artefacts from FB WallJohn:
As always, thank you for clearing this up. My theme does not have the “featured image” enabled, and I will look at adding the code to support this. (btw – great article on post thumbnails)
We can mark this support thread as: “No Fault Found”.
Cheers,

In reply to: [WPBook] [Plugin: WPBook] Remove other Post Artefacts from FB WallBanRan:
I Unhook the “Tweet This” Plugin; and now the “Translate” (jpg) image was sent to the FB Wall, along with the Post text. I am thinking that maybe I should return to the pre-IFrame version of WPBook, when this issue was not occurring?
Details for the “Tweet This” Plugin:

In reply to: [WPBook] [Plugin: WPBook] Remove other Post Artefacts from FB WallThanks BanRan, I tried the “excerpt” method today, but this still brings the Tweet Plug-in image. So, next I will try to Unhook the plugin when posting to the FB Wall.
Cheers, I’ll let you know the result.
John
Yes, what I meant by “show stopper” was that this error actually causes a termination of the running code. But will be the first to stick with this plug-in; since it offers many other great features.
Richard:
Try adding the characters #中国 in either the WEB Tweet Text-box or in the default Auto Tweet Text-box for the Automatic Tweeting section; you will see what I am talking about.
Thanks,

In reply to: [WPBook] WPBook – Publishing to Wall causing artefacts to show after post. This was not resoled, because it truly is not a WPBook issue.
I have done some research and found that these artefacts also appear on other facebook Wall posts: i.e. : https://www.facebook.com/pages/ITEventnet/195334458992#!/pages/ITEventnet/195334458992?v=wall
Look for the Wall post entitled: FREE ‘Reporting With SAP Business Objects’ Webinar (expand to see all text and you will also see the [Publish] [Delete] artefacts.)
This must be a facebook issue. (My apologies _ John)

I am not aware of such functionality in other plug-ins, but will check this out.
Thank you,

In reply to: [WPBook] WPBook – Publishing to Wall causing artefacts to show after post.Hi John,
I have uploaded a screen-shot at the following location:
https://nacreous-media.com/publishdelete/
**Copy the image and then paste it into a viewer (paint) to see the full image.
Please note, depending on the length of the content, these artefacts may or may not be shown.
i.e. – Longer Posts (more content) may be truncated on the Facebook Wall.
On Facebook, if you scroll down the wall page, you should be able to see these artefacts.
Thank you,
John Durocher
I also have this same issue. My table prefix has been modified; mostly for security purposes. Do you plan on accommodating this condition?
Thanks,

In reply to: Site review / feedback – 森林 TREESWOODSFORESTSThanks very much weddingcakes for your nice review and suggestions.
1) Because of the way this site combines a Chinese Ancient Verse (which is a independent post) with an English translation (which is a separate and independent post); I need to keep the unfriendly URL names. There is no doubt that this design is not optimal for SEO.
2) Soon, I will be changing the whole side panel ads blocks to either a skyscraper or a 300×250 block. I am leaning towards the 300×250 block; as found in Hotmail.
3) I think you are right, for the amount of comments I receive, I will let akismet do this job.
Thank you again, your comments are most beneficial to me.

In reply to: I added Facebook Fan box, and lost my entire fb profile.Under no circumstance should you add both the API code and your Profile id together, within the WP Widget. This must present some sort of an security threat to fb and it invokes this “automatic – preserve fb” reaction. That is my best guess. To get around this, I simply added the profile id only to the widget configuration and things have stabilized.

In reply to: Problems with links Non-Prettylinks PermalinksSorry, I was a little slow on the uptake (to set this to resolved). This has been resolved. – thanks.

In reply to: Problems with links Non-Prettylinks PermalinksJohn – this plugin works great now; for WP installations using “un-pretty” Permalinks; like mine. I must say, that you embraced this issue, for me, right from the start and provided a stable fix in less than a day. Thank you for this First Class plugin, and the First Class service!
Best regards to you.
