Thanks guys. Makes me feel better. Perhaps the computer I was on was just too old and couldn’t handle the font.

Here is a piece of the screen shot that I got back..

You can see how bad it is compared to the “Do Less, Be More” which is actually a png image. Surely the font should always come out more clear, thats why I use fonts instead of pngs all the time. That and loading times obv..

I think the menu looks a bit busy. Perhaps remove one of the lines and then maybe have some links at the top of the sidebar instead. I think it might be a bit overwhelming to people with too many options (especially if you are earning money from your site you want very little amount of options apart from the action you want people to take)

also.. i am aware that GD Star rating is a heavy plugin but I need this plugin, unfortunately. Im on the lookout for a lighter solution though.

also does it load quickly enough from your location? The hosting sucks but it is not my site so I can only work with what i have and keep the file sizes small, caching and all the rest of it.

I was just thinking in terms of

Fonts readable enough? Not too large?
Easy to navigate around the site?
Colours not too boring?
Spacing between the text and the images are ok?
Are the shadows behind the images subtle enough?
Does the sticky menu suit the theme of the site? Or just gets in the way?

i originally wanted the image the whole way down the page, but it would take the eyes off the content. Maybe i could blur it some in photoshop so its softer.. hmmm.. i’ll be up for hours now haha

Im assuming you’ve changed it to see the pic? Or is the formatting very wrong on some browsers / mobile devises??
