yes, and it didnt do anything.
The original feed has changed since last week now and the same problem is occuring.

It doesnt make sense, as the subject matter on both sites is exactly the same.
No difference between the posts as this was a backup i did before updating the live site, so something must have changed in the 4.2.3 update to make my feeds not work..
Its highly frustrating

Did an update from 4.2.2 to 4.2.3, i havent updated my test site yet
i will try this

Thanks for this @lorro but this is taken from the test site feed which is actually working fine for me.
The live site isnt though and is causing problems and doesnt show it as a valid feed.
This has only happened since the 4.2.3 update

Same feed on my staging site running WordPress 4.2.2 with all the same plugins etc.
