In reply to: WP-Plugin: meebo meHopefully the WordPress widgets code can be quickly integrated into this plugin, it’s not that hard. It’d be more functional as a widget.

In reply to: wp-plugins.org Dead?I’d love to have an official repository as well (plugins.wordpress.com), especially considering that it looks like wp-plugins.org forgot to renew their domain name and it’s now being squatted.

In reply to: Post previews affecting statsHey blogjunkie, I’m the author of the Performancing Metrics plugin (https://davereid.net/projects/wordpress/pmetrics) – and there’s an option to disable the tracking script when you’re logged in as an administrator, which also covers post previews (since you have to be logged in to use the dashboard). Maybe it might be another solution for you to consider – let me know!

In reply to: Stack Overflow ErrorThe plugin automatically inserts the required tracking JavaScript, so there’s no need for the user to modify templates at all. So when people inserted the code themselves, then discovered the plugin and enable it, they now have duplicated the script.
There’s no easy or obvious way to determine from the plugin if someone’s put it there manually. Plus with the plugin, there’s the option to not track administrator visits – if the manually added script is still there, it’s still going to track admins.

In reply to: stack overflow at line:72Yeah, when you have the tracking script in your blog twice (usually people forget to remove the code they inserted into the template themselves before enabling the PMetrics plugin), you’ll get an overflow error. Remove the code you inserted manually, and you won’t get an overflow error anymore.

In reply to: Stack Overflow ErrorHey DorisBallard, when you’re having the stack overflow error, it usually means you inserted the PMetrics tracking script yourself in your template and forgot to remove it when you installed the PMetrics plugin. Remove the code you manually inserted and you shouldn’t get an overflow error.
