Sorry, extra post: since I’m blogging in China, it might *might* be an issue with GB and Big5, the fonts used for displaying Chinese characters. But I’ve had that on for myself, and it didn’t interfere with comments. Just FYI here.

they say the “text doesn’t wrap” and it’s hard to type… that’s about the long and short of it.

That’s exactly my problem; I try to add the close tag in the post editor, either by simply pressing carriage return, or typing /p explicitly. Either way, it doesn’t stick. The editor doesn’t save it, it just disappears and the problem persists.
I’m running WordPress 1.0, in case you were wondering.

Hey Allusion, thanks a bunch… now I just have to play with the actual image size and the padding. Is there a good website to crash course in DIV tags? I feel cramped and the table I’m using for the site title is awkward. Plus, I’d like the title to stretch across and have three columns below (two menus flanking the posts).
