In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Theme Upgrades Please …Ooops! Reviewed my caution in the above message and you can go back to the original colour.
My suggestion though is to replace the 5 theme colours with the full slate of default colours.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Theme Upgrades Please …Hi Carolina,
Recognize you from Yoast. Thank you for clarifying the toolbar block usage. In Twenty Twenty-One the option was the second one on the list called Colour. Don’t remember what the first one was because I didn’t use it and being a creature of habit, of course, when Colour was missing I got lost. One caution that you should be aware of is the block toolbar allows a link color to be changed also. However going back to the original colour may not be feasible due to more link colours than text ones. Links must be done at the theme block level.
One suggestion about the colour picker for the future is to allow a copy/paste of a pre-selected colour number into the box in the #nnnnnn format. The reason is that it would simplify and allow a consistent non-palette colour to be used multiple times across a site. My musing for the day.
Thank you again. Make yourself a great day!Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Theme Upgrades Please …Thank you zsyl. I appreciate your support. You’re talking with a guy who has never touched a piece of code in this language.
Nor should I have to.
Let me explain:
If the theme is to be as flexible as suggested by the authors then the Drop cap as an option should be set true from the start so that all users can benefit, irrespective of technical knowledge.
The same flexibility for individual word colour as a theme standard is either provided or will not be. If not, say so in the documentation or forum. Stop the guessing game.
Zsyl, my site is in production mode with this theme and I hesitate to try your suggestion because of the 50% probability I might screw up and not be able to undo any damage I create.
In the end, the functioning of the theme is the responsibility of the theme creators not the user.
Thank you again zsyl for taking your time to help. Make yourself a great day!Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Drop Cap is missing in Paragraph BlockHow sad. I use Drop cap too. Don’t know anything about working with .json file(s) or altering themes. No interest in leaving this theme just because of one letter shape. Maybe a fix will come through on the next update (if someone asked for it). Not the only thing missing from the old paragraph block. It’s a Beta editor with B standing for Broken-until-fixed.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Image in 2022 themeYou’re welcome. Didn’t remember the edit button when writing you. Since we’re in Beta, I play around with everything no matter what the wording just to see what happens. Make yourself a great day!

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Image in 2022 themeHad the same situation on my Blog Post page. What I did roughly:
a) Went to the Blog page and selected the header section
b) Selected the header block and clicked on the bird image
c) The bird image changed into a block on top of a block
d) Deleted the bird block
e) Set my background colour
f) Did a save of the header.
Hope that gives you enough of an idea how to delete the bird. To me it illustrates that you can have different header images on different pages/posts no matter what the site header is set to.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [AMP] Google AMP ErrorsThank you Fellyph for your assessment. I had a gut feeling it may be that plugin. The most important thing was that the AMP plugin was working the way you want before I change my caching strategy. Thanks again and make yourself a great day!

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Importing blocks or patterns?Thank you for the info Justin. Maybe you could set me straight on something. I get the idea of the 3 templates. I think I get the idea of blocks in a template. But what I’m confused about is a pattern. Is it the setup of a number of blocks, or something you put into a block or what? The + inserter has both blocks and patterns; obviously I’m clueless about their relationship to each other. Your comments please.
Am beginning to wonder if WordPress itself is one big block or a pattern or both. Feel like Alice in Wonderland.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Importing blocks or patterns?2 things. First, the page you need help with is unable to be opened by my browser “Safari” at the server level.
Second,I am scratching my head as how would WordPress know the technical data of a block (if there was one) on another site? Therefore, only the blocks in the + (inserter) are available. Many of these blocks extract formatted data from selected sites and are written specifically for WordPress.
Hope this makes sense. User only forum remember, not developer.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] How to get unblocked from the Editor (Beta)Over coffee this morning while reviewing my server logs the answer was hidden in plain sight. In hindsight, it was in my browser window also. It is a developer block to prevent further access. We are in Beta mode. I assume refinements are being made and need to be tested before allowing anyone in. How long, who knows. I will wait.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] site-editor.php shows blank white pageHave had the same situation since January 29th. Even made a post about it 2 days ago. This morning over coffee, I found the answer while reviewing my server logs hidden in plain sight. In hindsight it was also in my browser window. It is a common block method by the developer to prevent you from going further into the editor or any other piece of code. This is a Beta were nothing is perfect and I assume that they are working on a major refinement of a particular problem type which will take who knows how long.
I keep trying to access the editor once a day without any change so far. Tests my patience however my keyboard is still in one piece. Hope this helps a bit. Namaste.
