Here is an example of the dialogue box veering to the right side cutting off the right 1/3 of the box on mobile view.

The other example happens when you refresh the above browser page and press change to close off the dialogue box, and then press ‘change’ again to reopen the box.

BTW the option buttons do not work, no matter how many times you press them after opening up the dialogue box on the mobile.

I have tried the Writeshare plugin on 4 separate installs of Mulitsite WordPress. Only in 1 can the fields allow edits (rather than choose from a predefined list only), and I don’t know what the difference is between the sites to cause this problem. I suspect Writeshare, having fudged its way into the Profile conundrum, doesn’t play nice with Multisite, thus having authentication for edits all screwed up. Why not let Buddypress handle all the profile and authentication tasks?

I used https://domainname.tld/writing/ for the Creative Writing group.

I realized what the problem was. I had not switched on the ‘allow user to register’ option in General Settings for WordPress, so no user would have been capable of submitting a chapter/article.

My advice would be to integrate the registration and profile elements with Buddypress so you don’t have to faff around with all these complexities. Why have an extra Profile page in addition to the Buddypress profile??!! Maybe setup a Writeshare tab in Buddypress, so all users can request permission to use writeshare from the website Admin.

I have set up another user in the Editor role and switched OFF the option for all users to be automatically set as writing capable. So the new user then requested the admin set the user as write-capapble, which was don. When the user then went to their Writeshare profile, it still said the the user had to request for permission to write. I suspect that Writeshare has errors with the authentication of user roles.
