The plugin I was using doesn’t help. I think I simply need to change the theme code.

If I’ve understood things right, I must “declare the text domain” in wp-includes/l10n.php

In this file the bit of code for loading the theme’s translated strings reads:

function load_theme_textdomain( $domain, $path = false ) {
$locale = get_locale();

I’ve looked at the codex too, and it says:
$domain
(string) (required) Unique identifier for retrieving translated strings.
Default: None
$path
(unknown) (optional) The directory where the .mo file can be found (without the trailing slash).
Default: false

I’m not a programmer, and am not clear what I should be declaring. Can you suggest what’s needed? (I do have the .po and .mo files properly installed). Thanks.

I moved to the Hueman theme, and things seem working normally except for the insertion of wpfilebase tags into a page. I then get:

Me too – just two buttons. I get the impression this plugin simply does not work

I’m afraid there I have a problem. For the site in question (hanvec21.fr) I do not have access to the server. (It’s for that reason we are looking to migrate the site onto a different host). So I’m not sure how to access the config file without asking the guy running the server to intervene. I can do that, but he is slow, very slow.

Is there anything else I can try?

By the way – I installed your plugin on another site I’m in the process of migrating and it worked fine, using Firefox. I was able to upload the 3.9mb plugin from UpdraftPlus. Makes me wonder whether the problem is not server related.

I’ve tried using Chrome and Safari, but with the same result.
This happens with the site hanvec21.fr. For another site there was no trouble (kanarvag.org).

Thanks Patrick. I tried to do it. Went onto my host’s (GoDaddy)file manager, and could see the problem folder. But there was no facility I could see for renaming. But there was a “delete node” option, so I did that. The folder disappeared. But it made no difference, I still cannot access dashboard. I tried restoring WP 3.5.1. Still no difference. The site seems just the same, by the way.
Perhaps I don’t understand the ins and outs of the file manager.

I got a friend to test it on her new PC running Windows 8 and Firefox. Worked fine, and very fast too! OK under Chrome as well. Another friend was OK with IE on a PC, but complained the large files were slow to load. Maybe my problem is related to the fact that I’m using Firefox on Mac OS 10.6.8?

Me too. I need to insert 13 players on the one page, and only the first 8 will play. I’m on WordPress 3.5.1 and using Firefox 21.0. OK under Safari.

Have you tried using Firefox Sebaztian? The issue remains for me only under Safari.

No good Len7288, I’m afraid.The box was unchecked anyway! Maybe it works for others.

On the language issue, I have the same sort of problem as lernerleben. Our blog is in French, and since 3.3 things like “More” and “Continue reading” are all in English despite having the fr version installed. I’m not sure where one goes to rectify this. I’ve not installed 3.3.1 on the basis “once bitten twice shy”.
