Same problem. Even after installing jetpack, connecting with wp, activating the custom content type plugin… No check box at -settings-/-writing….
Very frustrating seeing that no one at wp.org or wp.com or jetpack.com has any idea… Did you resolve it?

I have the same problem. No Checkbox for the custom content type. After installing Jetpack, activating all it’s parts… No Checkbox. Is there a solution?
