In reply to: [Twenty Eleven] How to remove "Proudly powered by WordPress?"If you’re using Jetpack as mentioned, it has a custom CSS box. Similar is found in some themes like Mantra.
If thats the case, all you need to do is add the line:
#site-generator {display: none;}
You can alternately change it to another colour, font, size or whatever with standard CSS settings in the brackets.
Similarly, if you look at the page code, you’ll find the CSS id tags for other footer elements. Use:
#tag {display: none;}I hide them as there was no way to align the several plugins that were adding random labels there.

In reply to: [Twenty Eleven] Stationary header image?It’s not part of this theme. And as the theme fills the screen for smaller screens like laptops, you would not be able to see any content on a small screen if it didn’t scroll.
Fixed headers should be smaller. I’d look to another theme.

In reply to: [Twenty Eleven] Is 2011 ipod, ipad, Blackberry compatibleNope. 2012+ evidently are.
You’re looking for “mobile friendly” which is also touch friendly.“Responsive” is more interactive and in a way that is cross-platform. So its inclusive of the above but larger.

You want a more recent touch-aware theme. There are many other than what is offered by default.Forum: Plugins

When you say “delete”, did you Deactivate, then uninstall? Or just delete the install folder? The second can give you grief, whatever the plugin.Forum: Plugins
