In reply to: Zoom capabilities disabled by ver. 3.5kyeyolander, I have since tried PrettyPhoto Zoom, downloadable from the plugins section on the www.ads-software.com site. This isn’t as elegant as Viva Zoom, but it does work – displaying a full-size image that does not take readers away from the page they are reading. This will work for me, at least until I can get Viva Zoom working again, and might do for you as well!

In reply to: [Image Zoom] Image ZoomHi Sed Lex,
I am having some problems with Image Zoom as well. Running WordPress 3.5, I can download and install the plugin, but when I click to activate it I get the response “503 Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily busy, try again later!”This has been going on for a couple of days and there don’t seem to be any other issues with my site.
Have you encountered this before and, if so, is there a solution?
Thanks.

In reply to: Zoom capabilities disabled by ver. 3.5I’m having the same issue. Viva Zoom still works on all of my old posts, but (even though there is a box to tick to make Viva Zoom active on images) it doesn’t work on new posts. This leaves me with either not offering access to a bigger version of the pic, or having it open in a separate window, which is awkward.
I have tried to install the Image Zoom plugin but it won’t activate.
Any help on getting Viva Zoom working again would be much appreciated!
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Previewing a site transferred to WordPressThat’s interesting – I read that on a one-click WordPress setup on GoDaddy you couldn’t view the .htaccess file to change it. I have altered the permalink setup on my site to match the original links from my old site so I believe I would need to access the .htaccess file.
I’m going to have a go with my dummy site and see if I can get anywhere with moving the WordPress files as suggested in the first link you mentioned.
Thanks again for your help!

In reply to: Previewing a site transferred to WordPressThanks RVoodoo – I think moving WordPress from its own folder to the root directory is tricky with GoDaddy because you can’t get at the .htaccess file to alter it as required. There’s no way to make invisible files visible with GoDaddy unless (I believe) you do a manual install of WordPress. I may have to look into doing that.
