Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Images and icons are no longer displayed on WordPressHi @raytan12
If I remember,
I recently upgraded WordPress to 5.9, and it seemed to be fine.
But, a few moments later, while still in my cPanel, I wanted to upgrade PHP to version 8.1.
I upgraded gradually to version 8 and then to version 8.1 and noticed something wrong, which was not yet the problem I describe here.
I decided to go back and reinstated to version 7.4, currently I am on that version.
Likewise, I read in some comments that WordPress 5.9 is not compatible with PHP 8 or 8.1
Is this the issue I’m having?
How to restore the display of images and icons?
I have provided you with the link to the website.`

In reply to: [WordPress Popular Posts] Thumbnails are bigger in handheld devices.hello @pickplugins
I would like to raise this subject again.
After the recent wordpress and plugin updates, the custom css doesn’t work one more time.
The custom CSS area in the “General settings” tab doesn’t work.
Also, the plugin doesn’t recognize Our Custom CSS file at All. I prefer doing CSS customization on my CSS child theme instead of inside the plugin.
How to fix these both issues:
– getting the theme’s CSS file working and recognized by the plugin,
– making the plugin’s CSS customization working again.Thank You.

In reply to: [Inline Related Posts] Related posts inline aren’t displayedHello @intellywp,
It works. Indeed, we have to create more than one article per category to see inline related posts.
Sorry for this inconvenience.Thank You. Have a nice day.

As I said before, my site is under construction and I’ll publish it temporarily. Can you, please, take a look at it?

Hello @belimperial,
Yes, I used the ‘OR’ condition and negative (Opposite) Condition not to display the popup on the home page. In spite of doing so, It shows it on the homepage.
This behavior occurs using both the third-party form shortcode and the native form shortcode method.
Probably, I presume to have a problem with my homepage. It’s just an eventuality.
The reason I’m saying this: I set up a Login/Logout link on my Menu. When the user is logged in the link on the Menu must show “logout”. Indeed it shows “Logout”, but when I browse pages and click on the “homepage” the menu link turns to “Login”, despite the user already logged in!
My site is under construction and I’ll publish it temporarily. Can you, please, take a look at it?

Concerning the “subscribers” tab, I did some tests on the Popup Maker’s subscription form, but unfortunately, I have any records on that tab!!
Thank You very much.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Exclude Navigation MenuHello @vmarko,
Sorry, in fact I used
<!-- mfunc -->
instead of<!-- mclude -->
.
And I got a syntax message error!syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘
Thanks.
Hello,
Which email address is associated with a Popup Maker’s Subscription form Shortcode?
When we click on “Submit button”, wich email address receives the subscription? Is it by default the email address on our WordPress settings?
I want to associate eventually a dedicated different email address with that “Submit button”. How to do so?
Is there an area on the Popup Maker interface to enter a dedicated email address for a Call-to-action “subscribe” button?
At least, which email address used by Popup Maker to record the subscriptions we receive?
Thank You.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Exclude Navigation MenuHello @vmarko,
I followed these steps:
1. used Page Cache mode Disk: Basic
2. enabled Late initialization: in the Page Cache settings.
3. defined a static variable in wp-config.php file:define( 'W3TC_DYNAMIC_SECURITY', 'mysecurestring' );
4. Minify setting is not enabled, so I didn’t addmfunc
andmclude
==
5. I wrapped a piece of code in functions.php file like so:<!-- mclude mysecurestring --> (code here) <!-- /mclude mysecurestring -->
==
Unfortunately, I got a message error in my cPanel interface says:
syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘The website didn’t open displaying this message:
There has been a critical error on your website.

The website is under construction in the local environment.
Here is a link to the plugin settings: [https://ufile.io/k64une9b]
We can see a preview, but on the posts themselves not.
Thank you.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Exclude Navigation MenuHello @vmarko,
I disabled “set expires header” in Performance>Browser Cache>HTML&XML saved all settings and purged the cache. The behavior of the login/logout on the menu still as it was.
Also, I redid the test by deactivating the W3TC plugin, contrary to what I noticed yesterday, the issue persists.
Probably it’s another reason which causes this interference. maybe not the W3TC.
I will consider other solutions for the setting I need to implement.
Thank you for your support. I apologize for this inconvenience.
Have a nice day.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Exclude Navigation MenuHello @vmarko
The website is under development in the local environment right now.
In fact, I added a Login/Logout Link to the main navigation menu.
But there is one issue:
When I Log In, the word & the link on the menu should say Log Out. In fact, the Log Out shows correctly.
When I browse the pages, the word displayed still the same in the same stand. But when I go to some other pages the word on the menu switches to Log In, when I’m already Logged In.
If I click on this Log In, It brings me to “my account” ‘s dashboard, because I’m already Logged In. It does not bring me to Login Form.
The word displayed on menu changes from “Log Out” to “Log In” for some pages.
The “Log Out” link works well on pages, but for some of them the word “Log Out” switches to “Log In”!!
===
If I force a hard reload, the correct word appears on the menu again.
Also, when I disabled W3TC for testing, Login pages are not cached, and then it works. No changes are mentioned in the Login/logout menu appearance.
Notice that In W3TC the Login pages are already not cached by default: “Don’t cache pages for logged in users” feature is enabled.
Beneath that feature, there is another feature for “users roles”. Admin, Author, Contributor are enabled to not be cached by default.
I added all other users, such as subscribers, to be not cached.I tested again and the previous behavior is coming back despite the “no caching” enabled for All users.
===
That’s why I ask if I can disable the Menu from to be cached in order to avoid this behavior for Login/logout on the Menu?
Thank You.
