Yes, it was correctly setup.

I find the reason why it was not displayed. Specifically, my home page is using http while [jobs] page is using https. When submitting form from http, for some reasons [jobs] page is not encrypted. Namely, it is using http protocol. Since I used https plugin, it identified me as not logged in user. I think that’s why the alert button was not shown. Now I enforce home page to use ssl. Problem is solved. Thanks, Mike.

The scenario is that I’ve created another search box on home page. The form will pass post search values to [jobs] page. Then this page will reflect the filtering after initialization. Yes, the bar is shown, “Reset” link is there, but the job alert button is missing.

Thanks here, : ). It should be similar to what you have done. What is different is email serves as the “primary key” to each job alert post type. Whenever a job seeker searched a job based on their criteria, there always has a email textbox, a frequency select box, and create job alert button. That’s all. The create job alert button will trigger the storing of current search criteria. I’m not sure how you created this plugin, but it should be similar. The demand is that not every user has the patience to sign up. However, the target jobs will bring them.

Yes, I know the registration gives the user flexibility to edit and disable which is good. If the unregistered visitors could also receive job alerts based on their job search, that will be fantastic. I’ve done some research about big job search sites, and they are all doing job alerts by email subscription. I think it is a trend and a good feature if you can think about in the future. Thanks for this suggestion, Mike. The thing is the minimum triggering time for your plugin is one day which means I need to wait for one day to test. How could I change within code to make the testing more often. By the way, I stopped receiving job alerts after configuring SSL on live site. Is there any conflict between wp job alerts and https? Thanks a lot!

I mean if the user jumped out of the job package choosing page, the job posting would be added to the dashboard listing which brings lots of attention to admin. This will be obvious on job board with high traffic if my assumption is right.

Thanks, Mike. I didn’t set the IPN. It is successfully tagged as pending review after the payment. I’m a bit confused about the difference between IPN and PDT. Currently, we are using paypal as the only payment choice. I saw there may be some restrictions about PDT. Specifically, credit card and express are not usable under PDT. What is the benefit of PDT? If I set both settings, will there be any conflict? Thanks again.

That’ cool. It is great that you started the job apply feature since this one is pretty important. In terms of this feature, when will it be released? And in which plugin is this feature include? (wp job manager or wp job manager resume).
