I’ve tested on my AT&T and T-Mobile Android devices, are you sure this wasn’t just an intermittent issue?

Are you self hosting or paying for WordPress hosting? You can use FTP for many things and might make things easier to troubleshoot if the need ever arises.

The question isn’t really a yes/no if you do need access.

There may a be a simple fix for this by using a plugin such as below, have you tried this with any success?
