  • Right, whereas I didn’t discover what the problem was, I fixed it by deleting the install directory and then reloading the files from a virgin WordPress archive. Obviously, something must have been written to one of the files in the archive. I don’t know which one it was, but I’m back up and running now.

    I’ve messed up a new blog I’m working on by doing something similar to Websage. I was trying to use a subdomain, so I changed both the home and site URL fields to subdomain.domain.com. This automatically gets rewritten to domain.com/directory by my host.

    I now find that I can’t change any of the options; WordPress asks me to enable the referrer. I went into the database itself and put the URIs back to the way they were, but the change wasn’t reflected either on the admin side or the user side of the blog.

    Any help would be appreciated!
