The server is IIS and I’m betting that is the problem. Everything else seems to work fine except for CAPTCHA in this particular plugin. I have 22 other plugins working OK but there could be something really minor that IIS just freaks out on possibly?

The plugin list-posts works great and it is completely configurable. It makes it very easy to customize the look and feel of how your static pages show your latest posts.

Oops I cut it off, the correct answer is:

list-style: url('/wp-content/themes/twentyten/images/wordpress.png');

Alright I figured out what needs to be done in the style.css

It should look like this:

wp-content/themes/twentyten/images/arrow.png

Now if I can figure out how to display the latest news item on a static page I should be good to go.

Hey I found the square you referenced! do I just change that to “whatever.png” ??? Thanks I will try some things with that.

Also, I have dashboard –> settings –> Front page displays but that only allows me to choose which static page I want to display as my front page. This setting works perfectly fine.

I want the static page that I choose to show the latest news item, that’s the problem.
