In reply to: [Bento] Article summary not workingThanks. I was hoping the theme itself could do the trick, but the Content Views plug-in provided a solid solution.

In reply to: [Bento] Article summary not workingYes, I’m hoping I get a solution. I like this theme, but I very much need the functionality of viewing post summaries. Hope there’s an answer!

In reply to: Google Calendar Events Page Load TimeOK, I know it’s been a few days. I did the debug thing, and I don’t see any error messages related to your plug-in. I did see some in relation to another plug-in… but I don’t believe that’s what’s causing my slow down issue.
Also, I haven’t noticed any speed-up in the load time after the feeds have been cached, unfortunately.
Thanks for all your help.

In reply to: Google Calendar Events Page Load TimeI tested all 18 feeds, one-at-a-time. Page loads for all 18 — individually — were very fast. I did not experience any errors or delays with any of them.
Then I tried loading a page that had multiple feeds.
– If a page loads 6 feeds, the wait is around 2-3 seconds.
– If it’s around 10-12 feeds, the wait starts hitting the 6 second range.
– At 18 feeds, I get a wait time of at least 10 to 12 seconds. And this happens every time I load the page.I wish I wasn’t experiencing this issue — because your plug-in is perfect in every other way ??
Thanks…

In reply to: Google Calendar Events Page Load TimeI definitely do not get any error messages. I am thinking the next thing for me to do is to try each feed individually and see if there’s an issue with one or more of them?

In reply to: Google Calendar Events Page Load TimeUnfortunately, I still have a wait time that is just too long.
When I use just 6 feeds the page would load in about 2 seconds. When I go to 18, it takes around 10-14 seconds for the page to load. I’m guessing if I consolidate, combine and reduce the number of the calendars, that would solve my problem. I really don’t want to, because — except for the wait time — keeping the 18 separate calendars is an elegant solution.
I trying to think of work-arounds.

In reply to: Google Calendar Events Page Load Time“Retrieve events from” is set to “Start of Current Month”
“Retrieve events to” is set to “The end of time”
“Max number events” is set to 100
Cache duration is set to 21600 (6 hours)(A few of the calendars have an additional offset added to the “Retrieve events from” field.)
The site currently is only pulling in feeds from 6 calendars.
I certainly appreciate any tips you could give me to give me the best performance pulling from all 18 feeds.
I’m a WordPress nubie. Great plug-in! And thanks..
