Now I can’t replicate this behaviour, so will just keep an eye on things. Possibly a caching quirk.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Redirected to Login instead of PayPalUpdate – this is (mostly) resolved, by de-activating our web host SiteGround’s SG Optimizer plugin. There is a conflict somewhere that I’ll have to investigate more fully.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] New site but Woocommerce 504 issueThis is indeed a known issue, at least to some unfortunate ones amongst us. Has also been discussed under the topic “504 Error on Certain Pages“.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] 504 Error on Certain PagesI have had essentially the same problem. I’m a bit confused – are we meant to be waiting for an update to be released, moving the discussion to github, or implementing one of several fixes that have already been posted by various people? (In my case we can wait, as the site is functioning more or less normally, although I can’t update stock levels or activate other plugins, etc.)
Thanks

In reply to: [Read More Without Refresh] upgraded plugin now it doesn’t workThank you to the other guys in this thread who have emphasised the need to “save settings”. This seems to be the crucial step and I’m afraid I missed this previously.
I can confirm that (for me) everything seems fine now (except that I shall have to amend the settings to get back to my custom text colour etc., but this is trivial.

In reply to: [Read More Without Refresh] upgraded plugin now it doesn’t workP.S. – the apparent inconsistency could well be due to caching.

In reply to: [Read More Without Refresh] upgraded plugin now it doesn’t workI described the error text earlier, as follows:
“The plugin read-more-without-refresh/index.php has been deactivated due to an error: The plugin does not have a valid header.”
This was with v3.0 or (seemingly) v3.1
Now v3.1 seems to activate OK but it hides the trigger text.
Reinstalling v2.3 solves all.

In reply to: [Read More Without Refresh] upgraded plugin now it doesn’t workFor some reason now I can get the plugin v3.1 to activate, but the trigger text is not visible, therefore the option to read more doesn’t exist for the user. So once again I am going to have to copy an earlier version of the plugin into my site.
What menu settings might make a difference?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Read More Without Refresh] upgraded plugin now it doesn’t workNeither v3.0 nor v3.1 work correctly for me – in fact they are automatically de-activated on my site, with the following report on the Installed Plugins page:
“The plugin read-more-without-refresh/index.php has been deactivated due to an error: The plugin does not have a valid header.”
I have WP 5.01 but with the Classic Editor (latest version).
I re-installed an earlier version of RMWR from another site and everything is back to normal.
Adding the class “form-row-wide” seems to have solved the problem, which is good!
I wish I understood why this problem suddenly emerged.
(Also, whisper it, but perhaps the documentation could be better…)
Thanks,
David
I’m afraid this is still not resolved. Exactly the same issue is evident despite my updating the website this evening. Screenshot here
