In reply to: Adding the Home page?I think I figured out the Home page thing – had to select Settings > Reading > Your Latests Posts, although I don’t think that’s the one I wanted but it made the home page finally fill up with something. I assigned a post to the “Gallery” category, but it says “This gallery contains 0 photos”. Is there something I have to do to get the gallery posts to work (with pictures)?

In reply to: Send users to a “thank you” page – contact form 7Momossy,
I got rid of Contact Form 7 and went with Fast and Secure Contact Form. Not only is this contact form plugin safer and more secure, but it’s also very easy to use and the plugin developer actually answers a lot of the questions in his support forum.

In reply to: [Plugin: Fast and Secure Contact Form] Instructions?Mine is running (I checked – API key is entered and valid). When I started my WP site I didn’t have to turn Akismet on, it was on already.

In reply to: [Plugin: Fast and Secure Contact Form] Instructions?Akismet is automatically running with WordPress. Are you talking about some other Akismet plugin? One that comes with the form?

In reply to: [Plugin: Fast and Secure Contact Form] Submitted form emailI’m not sure if this will help or not, but this is how I have my contact form set up here.
The screenshot shows my Email form settings for my contact page and then below a screenshot of how it appears in my Inbox when I do a test.

In reply to: [Plugin: Fast and Secure Contact Form] Instructions?Installed this plugin and have set up two contact forms already – one for design inquiries, the other just a simple contact form. I see the settings page is pretty extensive, and also easy to understand. I guess instructions aren’t really inquired now that I see how it works.
By the way, this is the best contact form I’ve used yet. I originally had Contact Form 7, but I started getting spam messages through those forms and there was no security procedures in place. Also, the plugin developer wasn’t very forthcoming with replies in his support forum.
What security measures does this form utilize? Will it recognize and block spammers automatically,. or is this something I have to set myself? I notice in the FAQs that this form uses Akismet – is that enabled automatically?

In reply to: My Posts Never Appear AnywhereMac, thank you for that information. I just posted a message to the ‘Fast and Secure Contact Form’ thread using the steps you outlined and it seems to have worked.
Thanks for your help ??

In reply to: My Posts Never Appear AnywhereYeah, that’s the one. It seems to still be in the Plugins and Hacks section, instead of on the Contact Form 7 board. Oh well. Than ks for your help.

In reply to: My Posts Never Appear AnywhereThanks, Chris. I don’t see my post in the Contact Form 7 forum though. I wonder why I keep getting caught in that Akismet thing?
Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: My Posts Never Appear AnywhereOk, I just ran into this problem again. I wanted to post a question on the Contact From 7 forum, but when I used the message box there was no option for “Contact Form 7” in the drop down, so the message got inserted in Plugins and Hacks.
However, when clicking on this post in my profile overview page I get “Topic closed”. How can you get your posts to appear in the right forum?
Is there a way to get your post in the right place that maybe I’m overlooking instead of having it disappear into limbo or have it become “locked” or “closed”?

In reply to: Send users to a “thank you” page – contact form 7So where’s the plug-in developer in all this? Haven’t seen any response from him. Does he even read these posts?
My “thank you” page redirection stopped working two updates back. Like others have said I have used the “on_sent” string in the Additional Settings and it doesn’t work for me, either.
If the developer doesn’t address this issue soon then I’m just going to find another contact form solution.

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] Submitting without js goes to 404I think this behavior started after the last update. I fixed mine by deleting the ‘on_sent_ok:’ line from the Additional Settings box and replacing it with “Your message was sent successfully. Thanks.”
I got this line from the ones supplied in the “Messages” box right above it (you have to expand that box to see the default messages).
