In reply to: Problem with WordPress 3.9.1Service Error: There was a problem getting the configuration information. Please try again later.
The above is the exact service error I get. Is there a Help Line I can call when this support forum can’t help to solve my issue? I don’t think I can manually update my wordpress…the instructions seem to fit someone who isn’t having the problems I’m having.

In reply to: Problem with WordPress 3.9.1I’m sorry I’m just really tripped up on the instructions to manually update WordPress.
“Delete the old wp-includes and wp-admin directories on your web host (through your FTP or shell access).”
How am I supposed to do the above instructions? This is relatively new to me, so the instructions in the link aren’t too helpful. And my dashboard is pretty much a blank white screen that came about after the auto install of 3.9.1. I can’t actually do anything.

In reply to: Problem with WordPress 3.9.1Tara,
The error log simply said to try again later and that’s the only message I’ve gotten since I originally upgraded. Am I supposed to download PhpMyAdmin? My dashboard is pretty much a blank white screen and I can’t really do much of anything. I just want to undo this upgrade. Can I do that? I really don’t know what to do here aside from switching hosts.

In reply to: Problem with WordPress 3.9.1Sandra I’m in the same boat….I just want to undo the upgrade. I’ll likely never upgrade again because of this.

In reply to: Problem with WordPress 3.9.1I switched to twenty fourteen, nothing changed. I switched back to twenty twelve.
I’m not sure how to manually re-upload files…what’s this all about? And how do I backup everything?

In reply to: Problem with WordPress 3.9.1My dashboard and edit/post screens are all white, some kind of odd shell of a screen. I just changed themes and it hasn’t solved the problems. I’ve deactivated all plug ins and that hasn’t solved anything. With the installation of 3.9.1, everything is screwed up.

In reply to: Dashboad/Edit Page Problems with WordPress 3.9.1 UpdateCan I just undo the installation? I also see a message saying I need to re-install the 3.9.1, but there are errors every time I try that and it says to try again later. It’s been a couple days of this now.

In reply to: Dashboad/Edit Page Problems with WordPress 3.9.1 UpdateHmmm, I’m not sure how to do some of those things. My screen looks so different now. How can I switch back to the default theme? What files/folders would I re-upload?

In reply to: I do not see my blogroll on my websiteInteresting! When I just switched the theme to Twenty Thirteen, I see the activated widgets, whereas, I didn’t see them with Stitch. I’m not 100% sold on Stitch and have been thinking of trying out some others. I know I have a learning curve here as well. I’m not sure what the problem is/was, but in changing themes, it seems to have worked.
