In reply to: [AWS for WordPress] DNS CNAME Creation/Validation FailsYou can remove the domain name at the end of the name, which will fix this issue for GoDaddy. I am on IONOS and ran into the same issue, but I’m still getting the time-out error message after removing the domain name and saving the CNAME record. I’m really frustrated! Do you have any suggestions for another problem that could cause the time-out? I’m going to keep looking.

In reply to: Widget issue after WP Upgrade 5.8I don’t have any issue using the new widget layout, once I found that the plus sign opened up the widgets list, but I can’t get my widgets to save, it just spins. I tried activating the default theme, that didn’t fix the issue, then I deactivated all the plugins, that didn’t fix the issue either. I think I’m going to have to go back to 5.7 until the problem gets fixed.

In reply to: I need an online instruction manualI’m not sure, I suppose I could use the post categories. So there are three types of products, each with their own manufacturer and model number, they have other characteristics like size and handedness. I need to be able to include a table on each post. It’s almost like a product catalog with multiple variables. Mostly I need to create a search page for the instructions, preferable one with a grid of photos the various models people will use the products on–hmm, using a blog module might just work, how I set up the display might work. I would need to create a sidebar widget for searching the categories to drill down to the exact model…ok, this is giving me some ideas…thanks!
I found it, I needed to make a change in the php directives at the server. It’s all working now. Your request sent me in the right direction to figure it out. Thank you!
The debug line was already set to false. So that’s not it. The php is version 7.3. Is the version of php the cause of my issue with the spinning and not completing the send?
Hi, me too. I updated it and it broke the site. I had to remove the plugin for the site to come back up. I hope it can be fixed too!

In reply to: [PHP Compatibility Checker] Fatal error on activationI’m getting the same fatal error and my PHP version is 5.6.29. Yes there is an autoload.php in the vendor folder. I would like to update my php to 7.0 if possible.
Warning and error messages:
Warning: require_once(__DIR__/vendor/autoload.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home6/coppern5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/php-compatibility-checker/wpengine-phpcompat.php on line 15

In reply to: [WordPress HTTPS (SSL)] HTTP not redirecting to HTTPS, some links breakingHave you gone to each page in edit mode and ticked the “Secure Post” box located in the right sidebar: “HTTPS”?

In reply to: [WordPress HTTPS (SSL)] Posts and blog page getting error when securedPlease can someone help me with this problem? I can’t find a solution and it’s probably something simple. The entire site shows the “https” but if I try to secure the blog page and any blog posts I get the error message I mentioned above. At the moment we’re not securing them so users can read the blogs. I would like to resolve this please!
Let me know if I need to give someone admin access.
Thank you!
DebbieI did add a site icon, but then found that exact article that you linked to and fixed it. Thank you. Another thing that might be mentioned in that article, for folks who run into this same issue is that I had to go to FB developer debugger and rescrape the site after I fixed it.
I’m not sure why adding the site icon didn’t work, I am using a child theme, but that shouldn’t make any difference. Anyway, thank you!
Debbie
Actually I meant to say sponsor logo, not icon.

In reply to: [Yada Wiki] User accountsAwesome, David, it’s working just like I need it to! I love the way it defaults to “Mine” when you access the list too. That will make it easier for each user to edit their own. If I can make it so that they cannot edit another’s that will be awesome (not that I expect realtors to sabotage each others pages, but you never know) but it’s not the end of the world if I can’t do it right away.
Thank you,
Debbie
