Thank you for your reply.
EXACTLY! After spending a few hours that is exactly what I found out. Google denied the app access.
The process is slightly different than it was initially, but I do have it working again.
What also caused a problem was that the owner changed her password for her business gmail account and did not let me know!
All is now working as expected.
Thank you very much!
Unfortunately making it (and you have no choice on gmail without suite) EXTERNAL still gives the same error.
What happened here? Everything was working perfectly until that last upgrade, now no matter what I do it will no longer work and I continue to get the same error:
Mailer: Gmail
{
“error”: {
“code”: 401,
“message”: “Request is missing required authentication credential. Expected OAuth 2 access token, login cookie or other valid authentication credential. See https://developers.google.com/identity/sign-in/web/devconsole-project.”,
“errors”: [
{
“message”: “Login Required.”,
“domain”: “global”,
“reason”: “required”,
“location”: “Authorization”,
“locationType”: “header”
}
],
“status”: “UNAUTHENTICATED”
}
}How do I fix this????
Please help as the instructions are awful!
Thank you in advance.
I redid the Gmail API, now I’m getting this message. The directions say to setup the API with Internal which I cannot do as the owner only has gmail and not gmail suite.

Thank you in advance.
Hi, thank you for your reply. I ended up re-installing WP Mail SMTP and redoing the Google API. Now I’m getting a totally different error, but I still do not have the “Remove Connection” button and to be honest do not recall ever seeing that. Here are the various screen shots for WP Mail SMTP free version I have which is Version 2.2.1 By WPForms.
OK, how the heck do I upload images???
This is the error I am receiving:
EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.2.1 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:
Mailer: Gmail
{
“error”: “invalid_grant”,
“error_description”: “Bad Request”
}
Please re-grant Google app permissions!
Go to WP Mail SMTP plugin settings page. Click the “Remove Connection” button.
Then click the “Allow plugin to send emails using your Google account” button and re-enable access.There is no “Remove Connection” button in the FREE version. What do I do?
This had been working flawlessly and now it doesn’t. It also states that downgrading may cause problems with the site.

I am having this exact same problem since the update and cannot figure out how to resolve it.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] CF7 checkboxes will not fill in on Frontend and do not sendI have installed the WP Form SMTP and setup a Gmail API. All other information works as expected and I get the test results as a positive. Filled in the form and actually submitted and it worked great. Just no info sent from checkboxes.
But if I cannot check the boxes, that would be the issue right?
This is what is sent via email for the checkboxes:Handicap Room Requested: NoYes
Dietary Restrictions: Seafood, shell fish only and steak
