@fhaps Thanks for the reply. Thanks for the guidance as well. I did test my site on a clone using Updraft Plus. WC 4.3 did the trick (fixed the disppearance of the Product Type selection fields). I’ll wait until my plugins report being tested with the current Rev of WC before I update to 4.4.x. – oh and I test it on a cloned/staging site. I’ll take a look at WP Staging as well. ??

Thanks Priyanka. I followed your blog, and others – and manually added a robots.txt file. I am still seeing hundreds of abandoned carts logged within seconds of each other through the day. Here’s the robots.txt lines:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Disallow: /*add-to-cart=*
Disallow: /cart/
Disallow: /checkout/
Disallow: /my-account/
Disalow: /wp-content/plugins
Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
Allow: /wp-content/uploads

Do I have this correct? Any other things I can do?

To be a bit clearer on the instructions… once the Wizard tests the connection and recommends the SMTP gmail.com:587 option… dont use that one. Check the button above that which is the Gmail API option.

For me, the Client ID and Client Secret automagically populated from the previous setup – and all was good. Whew! (if this is your first setup, follow the instructions in the article. Not super-intuitive, but not impossible.)

Now I can sleep tonight knowing that Bluehost isnt screwing up all the emails TRYING to get to my inbox. yay for sleep!
