In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Hi from a NewbieHey Sybre, I followed an article online to do this. It concluded with checking the addition with a tool called Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool. Only it didn’t look at all like in the article and I didn’t know how to check or confirm it.
The article is here, it’s at the bottom

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Hi from a NewbieHey that’s great to hear.
So images at 200-300 kb aren’t a problem then?I’ve yet to change over from Cloudflare – maybe it’s working
Thanks again

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Hi from a NewbieThansk for that I’ll have a read
One other question is image size. Iv’e made them all 1500px on the long side and they range between 60kb and 300kb. Most are in the 100-180 range.
I’m concerned the larger ones are too big and slowing down the site. I hope not as I’ve done hours of work getting them all online and with alt text, descriptions etc. What do you feel about that ?
thanks, Dean

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Hi from a NewbieHey Sybre
I am going to do what you suggested, just haven’t had time recently
One question I do have is about the site map. My site is mainly images since I’m a photographer. Are images included in the site map so google can find them ?
Thanks, Dean

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Hi from a NewbieHey Sybre
Thanks again for your help.
I’ve looked into CDNs and I’ve installed Cloudflare. Seems like a good option, is well reviewed, and I can start with their free plan. Not sure if I need a caching plugin as well.
Can you please check my site again to see if that made an improvement? happened.
cheers, Dean

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Hi from a NewbieJust clarify – I want google to index my galleries and my individual images.
If I uncheck the box you suggest, does this mean galleries will no longer be indexed? How can I cover all bases?

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Hi from a NewbieHey Sybre
I’m not sure what this means:
“If you wish that all your attachment pages to be individually indexed to Google rather than using galleries or real pages/posts to publish your images, be sure to uncheck the “Disable indexing for attachments” in the “Robots Meta Settings” metabox within the SEO Settings page”I found the setting you mentioned, just not sure what’s best for my site?
Can you please explain this a bit for me and perhaps the best way to handle it?Thahks, Dean
By the way, I manually submitted the sitemap to google and bing

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Hi from a NewbieHey Sybre
Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify:
1. OK, I changed it. I don’t think I need the date in the permalink
2. Understood – just write great content naturally
3. I understand you are suggesting the Featured Image is used here. But I also have lots of galleries, filled with images. These are basically stand alone, with no post or text. Is it worthwhile to do it on each image in these? Are there guidelines as to how many characters are used in the various fields of the image (just like with titles and descriptions) ?
4. Great, I like automatic ?? How long does it take to submit and be registered on the search console ?Thanks, Dean

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Hi from a NewbieHey Sybre
I’ve downloaded your pluging and have a couple of questions if that’s OK:
1. I see the post permalink now has the date in it – why is this ?
2. unlike Yoast there is no focus on a target keyword – is this not important ?
3. There is no mention or checking or image seo – alt text and meta descriptions – is this indicated somewhere or do I just have to know it?
4. do I have to do anything about the sitemap or is it done and submitted automatically?
That’s it for now. No doubt a few more questions will arise
thanks, Dean
