If you really wanted to help, then you would give the hobbyists a break and not charge outrageous fees to view our stats! Let the truly commercial sites pay for it. To quote @veex2:

For those of us who don’t make $$ off our sites, and pay out of our pockets to maintain our sites at great personal expense, this is a total slap in the face.

I couldn’t agree more! I’m a hobbyist and blogging is my creative outlet. Yes, I have a couple of Google Adsense ads and also ask for donations, but in 11 years of blogging, I’ve made less that $100.00! On top of the hosting fees, a premium theme and a few pro plugins, there is NO WAY I can afford another $150.00 (CAD) for Jetpack Stats! Talk about greed!!

I second what Holly said. The native www.ads-software.com commenting system is also my preference but, since so many people use the Jetpack app, that is likely a reason why comment counts are down! I hope something will be done to change this, soon.

I just saw that and deleted the plugin for now. Hoping to hear soon about a fix for this issue!

I have the same issue! It just started a couple of days ago and both plugins have been active on my site for a long time. I’d rather keep the Yoast open graph info, if possible.

It keeps happening to me too. Last time, a reader alerted me to it about a month ago and I just noticed it has closed off comments again today. I’ve added the discussion page link to my bookmarks so I can check it regularly, but that shouldn’t be necessary! WHY can’t WordPress or Bluehost figure it out and fix it? So frustrating!

This keeps happening to me as well and yes, I am with Bluehost too. Disabling plugins and themes isn’t feasible as it occurs sporadically, without rhyme or reason. Frustrating that nobody has come up with a solution yet!

I have the same aggravating problem. Using Anti-Spam by Webvitaly and Comet Cache Pro. Any insights on how to fix this would be appreciated! Anyone?

This got resolved after I deleted the plug in, then uploaded it again. Back to normal! ??
